I have fine, thin hair so I can't comment on how it is for thick hair (though I imagine it's great!) but it's perfect for mine. From towel dried to dry - styled with a round brush, takes less than 5 minutes. It's quieter than my previous dryer and the little nozzle thing on the end stays put (my old one continuously fell off). My hair comes out smooth and does not seem to incur any damage. I also like it's sunny, yellow color. It's actually bigger and heavier than I expected, but the folding handle will still make it pretty good for travel and it's light enough to be manageable with my carpal tunnel and arthritis issues.
I am a HUGE fan of my Drybar Buttercup blow dryer...I tell everyone who will listen about how great it is and how it has changed the texture of my hair for the better. So I was very excited when a smaller/travel sized-version came out. I bought it, tried it and was a bit disappointed. While I am glad it has a high and low setting for the airflow, because I do use both, there is no temperature setting, and even on low, the heat is way too hot. Plus, I always use the cool shot button, which this one does NOT stay pressed in, and does not get that cool...I will probably try it one or two more times before fully committing to keeping or returning.

I really liked the size of this hair dryer. I travel a lot so I was excited for try one that might fit in my suitcase better. I have very thick very curly hair so it may not just be made for my hair type. The diffuser attachment frequently fell off which is a major downside since that's really the only thing I use a hair dryer for. But what I thought was really strange was that it would cut out frequently. Almost like it got too hot and would just automatically switch to this very low setting. It did dry my hair really well and I loved the texture of my curly hair and my hair straight afterwards. I think this travel size just didn't have the power for the thickness of my hair 🤷🏽♀️ Just guessing.

Favorite hair dryer I've ever had! I got it for Christmas and still going strong! Cuts blow dry time in half!

Purchased in January 2020 and today August 27,2020 stopped working for no apparent reason.

The best blow dryer ever had!!! My hair looks like I stepped out of the salon. This blow dryer has a lot of power and it comes with two diffusers. It was worth every dollar I spent.

I bought this hair dryer so excited to get it. The hairdryer does not blow hot air all the time. After having it for only a few months it stopped working and completely burned out.

I bought two of these blow-dryers in the last twelve months. They worked great, while they lasted. Both blow dryers lasted about 4 months. I loved the blow-dryer so much after my first purchase, that I bought a replacement. I was hoping it was a fluke. I made a point to keep my receipt and packaging for the second purchase. Unfortunately, 4 months later this blow-dryer also stopped working. I might go through the warranty process but unfortunately they will just send me another blow-dryer with a 4 month expiration date instead of a refund.

To the reviews that say it's not dual voltage, burned up, turned bright red etc. it IS dual voltage but has a tiny switch at the front bottom of the dryer that you have to turn to the proper setting. It's in the footnotes of FAQ on their website and I missed it at first, too. My dryer was doing the same but I stopped using and once I turned the little knob it works perfect. Great for travel and works just as well as the full size for on the go! I have the full size at home but when we travel pack carry on only. I love this dryer. Worth every penny!

So happy with this travel size blow dryer!

I bought this blow dryer less than 6 months. It stopped working. Smells like something is burning, and motor slows down and then turns off immediately after turning on

I had this dryer for about 12 months. Its not as hot anymore and takes way too long to dry my hair. I wanted to love this but looking back I should've went with something else.

Great wile it lasts, I bought this blow dryer not even 6 months ago. The inside turned red and started sparking and smoking. I would not recommend getting this dryer. It's not worth how much it costs.

This blow dryer is quiet and powerful, which is wonderful while it lasts. It quit working after 10 months. This is an expensive dryer considering its longevity. ULTA does not stand behind the product. They told me to contact the manufacturer because I've had it for more than 30 days. Not impressed with this level of customer service.

I bought this hairdryer 18 months ago. It was the most expensive hairdryer I had ever purchased. I liked the folding handle for travel and it was quiet. I used it about 4x/wk on my medium length fine hair- shouldn't be much of a workout for an expensive dryer made by a company who's entire business is built on blow drying hair!!! It stopped working entirely today after about a month of overheating. Spend your money elsewhere- it's cute, but for the money should last longer than 18 months.

This dryer changed my world. Never in my life had I paid so much for a hair dryer but the minute I used it, I knew it was worth every penny. Until recently. It lasted a few years but now only blows out cold air. I'm so sad. I could have purchased six cheap ones for the amount I spent on this one. Bummed!

I agree with one of the comments. I wend to Europe and tried to use it and it did light up red and it looked like it was going to blow up. I bought my own converter and made sure the wattage was compatible. I had to turned it off immediately and could not use it at all.

I bought this thinking it would be as effective as the regular size. However, I was very let down. Takes forever to dry hair. Its not hot enough, andhas low power (voltage). I regret buying this product. A cheap conair dryer works better than this.
Disappointed from New England
Hair dryer does a poor job drying my hair. The attachment nozzle falls off constantly while drying my hair. Was not able to use in Europe even with a European plug adapter, leaving me without a hair dryer for a week. Very disappointed in this purchase

I used this while traveling in France and Italy and had no issues. I made sure to change the voltage along the side to match European standards. Would highly recommend as a travel blow dryer.

I bought this for travel in Eurooe. The first tine I tried to use it it turned bright red and looked like it was going to blow up. I turned it off immediately and tried again with a converter it did the same thing. I could not use it at all. I have 10 days to go and am stuck in Italy without a hairdryer!!!! I am returning it the miniute I get home!! It is not dual voltage!!!

This travel dryer is lightweight and I love the cord which is very flexible and easy to wind up--important when traveling. I wish it was a little more powerful, but the two times I have used it it gave me good results, so maybe the result is more important than the power.

I bought this travel dryer to replace a cheaper one I had used for a few years for travel. I wanted a dual voltage dryer to take with me when I travel to Europe. This one weighs a little more than the one I had previously. I used it overseas and it worked really well on my fine shoulder length hair and I loved how quiet it is compared to other dryers I've used. In fact, I like it so much better than my home dryer that I've continued to use it at home instead of just for travel. I like the bright yellow color, too!

Bottom line: You're paying for the name drybar, and that's all. It's a painfully mediocre dryer, and it's not worth even a fraction of the price.
This dryer is the most underwhelming hair dryer I've ever used. I have very fine, but curly and frizzy hair, and it normally takes about 5-10 minutes to give my hair a complete blow out. With this dryer it took about 15-20 , and the finished look looks worse than my old cheap blow dryer I bought this to replace. I could not get this dryer to get all the kinks out of my hair no matter how hard I tried, which is why I blow dry my hair in the first place.
Even with my 20% off coupon it still cost over $100, which blows my mind for a product that has a truly difficult time straightening out very fine hair. Yes, it will dry your hair and prevent it from feeling like straw, but that's it. Don't expect to be able to do any amount of styling. This is being returned immediately.
