I have normal to dry skin depending on the season. I bought this as recomended for a sales girl at Ulta. I love it. It changed my dry skin over night. In three days my skin was glowing. I love that u dont need much its not like regular moisturizor that u slather on. It will spread so u hardly need much on ur finger. Prob would not recommend for oily skin. My skin obsorbe it with in minutes.

Comments about Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream:

I Bought this as part of a kit with other products In this line. Some of the product had no value for me like the rose vitamin sprAy but I was hoping I'd like at least
One of the products. This night cream is very greasy like a coconut oil consistency. It smells ok, it's green and feels really heaVy on my skin. I prefer another nighttime moisturizer but wanted to see if this one would be a good alternative. It's not and I won't buy it again because it doesn't work for me. That being said, I really appreciate and love to buy kits that let me try new products at a good price.

          clogged pores galore

          By Alex

          from Miami

Comments about Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream:

I used this for a couple of months and at first, I loved it. Made my skin look brighter in the morning, loved the consistency and texture. However, my skin began to break out. Little pimples and even cystic. I couldn't figure out what was causing it until I stopped using this.

          Not for intense moisture

Comments about Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream:

This moisturizer is fine, but I was expecting a lot more from it. Before winter it felt like it just sat on my skin without really doing much except making me feel greasy. It also hasn't been helping my winter dry patches at all; it only has any sort of an effect if I layer other moisturizing products and oils under it first. The texture is thick and almost "gluey" when you first apply, but it melts a bit and has a more silky texture as you massage it in. This might be a good moisturizer for someone with oilier skin who doesn't need as much moisture, but it hasn't been doing much for me. This product also has artificial color added to it, which I'm not the biggest fan of.

          By Sarasnapp

          from Chicago, IL

Comments about Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream:

I have combination, acne prone skin. I was a little reluctant to try this but I'm definitely glad I did. Not only does my skin look more glowy and plump but it also has helped balance out the oil in my skin and clear some of my blemishes. I use this at night after my Mario Badescu acne cleanser and I am loving the results.

Comments about Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream:

I've only been using this product for about two weeks now but I can already see the difference in my skin. It's amazing! I have extremely dry skin to the point where if I use a new product that isn't specifically made for my skin type, I break out and my face gets red and flaky. I use this after I clean and tone my face, I slather on a thin layer and when I wake up, my skin feels brand new. I am a huge fan of this product and I don't think I'll ever buy another night cream because this one is just too good.

            • Q:

I have combination skin with occasional breakouts in my t-zone, but I also get dry patches and flakiness. On top of that, I have super fair, freckled skin and am prone to redness on my cheeks and around my nose. I know, I know... I've been super blessed in the genetics department. >.<
              *le sigh*
I'm new to Mario Badescu, but the Seaweed Night Cream was suggested based on the Mario Badescu skin analysis... That being said, I'm really torn between trying this Seaweed Night Cream and the Chamomile Night Cream. I would sure love to wake up and be able to embrace my freckles without the redness, ya know? Would super appreciate some guidance!

              Thanks in advance! < 3

Hello and Thank you for your question. As a fellow freckled friend, I know your struggle with genetics all too well! :)
The skin analysis was correct with recommending the Seaweed Night Cream. Since you do have combo skin with a tendency to breakout, we would suggest you choose a night cream that is oil-free, as the Seaweed Night Cream is. The Chamomile Night Cream contains oil and is generally recommend for skin types that do not experience breakouts. That being said, since you do experience flaky patches, you would benefit from our Rose Hips Nourishing Oil being applied exclusively to those red, flaky areas. Since it is a facial oil, you would not want to apply this all over your face or on acne prone areas, but rather, layer the oil under your moisturizer and night cream to the red, flaky areas only.

I've been using this cream and ran out however I was recommended the ginseng moisturizer. What is the difference? I am sensitive, have enlarged pores on cheek, uneven skin texture on forehead, and have combination skin - if I don't use a good moisturizer at night I get extremely patchy/flaky.

                A:

The big difference between the 2 products is the Seaweed Night Cream is oil free and the Ginseng Moist Cream is not. If you have acne prone skin, then I would stick with the Seaweed Night Cream. If you are not acne prone and require more moisture during the harsh winter months, then the Ginseng Moist Cream is a better choice. http://www.ulta.com/ginseng-moist-cream?productId=xlsImpprod6200707
