Comments about Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream:

I got this as a sample and I LOVE IT! I put it on at night and the next day my makeup goes on my face wonderfully. It definitely gives you a glow that next day!! I have normal skin (not dry or oily) but it is acne-prone and this product has not broke me out. A little goes a long way and it does take a lot to rub into skin. But definitely would recommend!

Comments about Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream:

I've been battling with very dry, flaky, and sensitive skin. I've been using this with the seaweed face wash for just a short time and it has helped so much and I haven't had break outs.

Comments about Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream:

I use this concentrated in my problem areas rather generously (laugh lines. Center of forehead) it feels pretty thick (not in a bad way) so sometimes I use it all over but usually I use multiple products and this is what goes on the "wrinkly" areas. I love it. It makes me feel super hydrated moisturized and my skin plumper. It feels legit. Give it a whirl I personally love Mario Badescu and this will always be in my drawer.

Only takes a little to do the job. If you put too much on, it does feel greasy.I put this on at bedtime and my skin feels so soft in the morning. My nose looks a little oily when I get up, but it doesn't break me out. My skin is looking nice and fresh.

I was looking to switch from IT Confidence in a Cream to something more affordable, and I have to say, I LOVE this stuff!!! I am very happy with the switch. I noticed results immediately. My skin looks super smooth, and when I wake up in the morning, it still looks amazing. When I first smelled this stuff in the store, I was taken aback and almost didn't buy it, but I don't even notice it anymore (been using it for a little over a week). I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an affordable, anti-aging night cream.

The color is just pretty. The smell is a little different but I got used to it. After I wash I apply only to my dry zone, cheeks (conbination skin). It a not heavy but it doesn't absorb like lotion on your skin. But I love it because the next day my skin is so soft.

Comments about Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream:

I took a leap of faith to try a new night cream (I usually use Andalou Naturals) and was sincerely disappointed with this product.

              1. I cannot get over the fact that it has actual shimmer/glitter in it. This just shouldn't be there and I don't feel good about putting it on my face to sleep in.

              2. I also struggle a lot with the smell - it is extremely scented. In my opinion, it's not a good smell either. I also don't feel good about putting an exremely scented cream on my face.

              3. Not as moisturizing as Andalou (at least for my skin) so I think I will go back to my first love or try another product.

              4. In its defense, it is a a very silky texture and is easily applied. A little goes a long way and it hasn't caused me any noticeable break outs.

Overall, my consensus is that I personally like very natural creams, this is because my skin is very oily and strong scents etc. can set it off. I prefer something deeply moisturizing and a slight natural smell or non-scented. If you are a natural girl and you don't like the idea of shimmer and your grandmas closet... don't go for this!

Seaweed Night Cream makes a great anti-aging addition to any anti-acne skin care routine. It is light weight and oil-free, while containing skin plumping collagen and elastin.

                  • Q:

I was recommended to use your acne face wash with cucumber lotion at your spa in NYC along with the other acne products (drying lotion, cream, and mask) for my T zone focused hormonal acne. I have noticed, however, that my skin has been a bit dehydrated and dull with this routine despite being effective at combating my acne. I was also recommended to use the oil free moisturizer and was wondering if this seaweed moisturizer would be a good nightly addition? I am in my early 20s, have some fine lines, and hyper pigmentation with combination skin. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I have combination skin with occasional breakouts in my t-zone, but I also get dry patches and flakiness. On top of that, I have super fair, freckled skin and am prone to redness on my cheeks and around my nose. I know, I know... I've been super blessed in the genetics department. >.<
                    *le sigh*
I'm new to Mario Badescu, but the Seaweed Night Cream was suggested based on the Mario Badescu skin analysis... That being said, I'm really torn between trying this Seaweed Night Cream and the Chamomile Night Cream. I would sure love to wake up and be able to embrace my freckles without the redness, ya know? Would super appreciate some guidance!

                    Thanks in advance! < 3

Hello and Thank you for your question. As a fellow freckled friend, I know your struggle with genetics all too well! :)
The skin analysis was correct with recommending the Seaweed Night Cream. Since you do have combo skin with a tendency to breakout, we would suggest you choose a night cream that is oil-free, as the Seaweed Night Cream is. The Chamomile Night Cream contains oil and is generally recommend for skin types that do not experience breakouts. That being said, since you do experience flaky patches, you would benefit from our Rose Hips Nourishing Oil being applied exclusively to those red, flaky areas. Since it is a facial oil, you would not want to apply this all over your face or on acne prone areas, but rather, layer the oil under your moisturizer and night cream to the red, flaky areas only.

I've been using this cream and ran out however I was recommended the ginseng moisturizer. What is the difference? I am sensitive, have enlarged pores on cheek, uneven skin texture on forehead, and have combination skin - if I don't use a good moisturizer at night I get extremely patchy/flaky.

The big difference between the 2 products is the Seaweed Night Cream is oil free and the Ginseng Moist Cream is not. If you have acne prone skin, then I would stick with the Seaweed Night Cream. If you are not acne prone and require more moisture during the harsh winter months, then the Ginseng Moist Cream is a better choice. http://www.ulta.com/ginseng-moist-cream?productId=xlsImpprod6200707
