Not for intense moisture

Comments about Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream:

This moisturizer is fine, but I was expecting a lot more from it. Before winter it felt like it just sat on my skin without really doing much except making me feel greasy. It also hasn't been helping my winter dry patches at all; it only has any sort of an effect if I layer other moisturizing products and oils under it first. The texture is thick and almost "gluey" when you first apply, but it melts a bit and has a more silky texture as you massage it in. This might be a good moisturizer for someone with oilier skin who doesn't need as much moisture, but it hasn't been doing much for me. This product also has artificial color added to it, which I'm not the biggest fan of.

Mario does it again

By Sarasnapp

from Chicago, IL

Comments about Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream:

I have combination, acne prone skin. I was a little reluctant to try this but I'm definitely glad I did. Not only does my skin look more glowy and plump but it also has helped balance out the oil in my skin and clear some of my blemishes. I use this at night after my Mario Badescu acne cleanser and I am loving the results.

Comments about Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream:

I've only been using this product for about two weeks now but I can already see the difference in my skin. It's amazing! I have extremely dry skin to the point where if I use a new product that isn't specifically made for my skin type, I break out and my face gets red and flaky. I use this after I clean and tone my face, I slather on a thin layer and when I wake up, my skin feels brand new. I am a huge fan of this product and I don't think I'll ever buy another night cream because this one is just too good.

I like this cream. Although it is greasy and does not absorb super quickly, I use it as a night cream so I don't mind that. Due to how greasy it is, I would not recommend it for day time use but that should be obvious as it is sold as a night cream anyway. ;) smell is not awful, but not great. It's similar to baby powder in intensity.

Do NOT buy if you gave acne-prone skin

          By Christina

          from New Jersey

Comments about Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream:

          Isopropyl Myristate....

This is a highly pore-clogging, comodegenic ingredient, listed third on this product. Of course I did not realize this before I bought this. I figured, hey it is oil-free, this company has other products that help acne, no way would they create a product that causes acne...

3 days after using the product, I delevoped a cluster of red inflamed pimples ALL of my chin - the worst I've had since years. It is painful and stubborn. No improvement after 5 days despite me taking special care of my skin (I used Mario's drying lotion and that doesn't even help it).

lesson learned - RESEARCH ingredients and don't buy this if you are acne-prone

          Perfection

          By Kayla

          from Alabama

Comments about Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream:

I'm 30 with super sensitive, acne prone skin. It's hard to find moisturizers that really moisturizer my skin and don't cause irritation. I usually have to resort in lightweight formulas. Not anymore! So happy to have tried this. I love MB products and this is no exception. For the first time I wake up with plump, soft, hydrated skin. Love.

          • Q:

I've been using this cream and ran out however I was recommended the ginseng moisturizer. What is the difference? I am sensitive, have enlarged pores on cheek, uneven skin texture on forehead, and have combination skin - if I don't use a good moisturizer at night I get extremely patchy/flaky.

              A:

The big difference between the 2 products is the Seaweed Night Cream is oil free and the Ginseng Moist Cream is not. If you have acne prone skin, then I would stick with the Seaweed Night Cream. If you are not acne prone and require more moisture during the harsh winter months, then the Ginseng Moist Cream is a better choice. http://www.ulta.com/ginseng-moist-cream?productId=xlsImpprod6200707

Night Creams should be used at night after applying your usual moisturizer. We recommend the Seaweed Night Cream for Combo/Oily skin. Our Caviar Night Cream is a better option for dry skin (Item #: 2244060).

This claims products are non-pore clogging, and there is no way to guarantee that a product will not clog your pores. The answer is in using a complete product regimen geared toward oily skin types comprised of oil free products. That being said, Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream is an oil-free product.
