These sponges are almost 1/4 the price of a beauty blender because a two-pack at Ulta is like $12 and single beauty blender is $20. Honestly, don't waste your money on a beauty blender, these are so soft and work just as well for a fraction of the price.

I tried this and the beauty blender brand as a comparison. They are very similar in feel. This blender has a little different shape which I find very helpful around the eyes and nose. After trying this I went back and got two more.

Comments about Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge Set:

I use to use a foundation brush, then decided to try something new and I was tired of cleaning the brush. I first used the tarte blending sponge. When it had its day I thought I would try to find something a little more affordable. The two pack miracle sponge is about equal cost of one tarte sponge. The miracle sponge is more dense and I feel it doesn't absorb as much product. Application process, I tried the sponge with/without a primer with multiple foundations and you need a primer to get a good coverage.

hi there! So I've been told that the quality of the sponge is different from when you first launched it. i was wondering if that is true? For example, I've been told that the "old version" was squishyer, and the current sponges are firmer, a bit harder. So my question is, has the product changed at all since it was first launched?

                  A:

                  Hi lml,

Thanks for your question. The best way I think about our sponges is that they are like batches of cookies - each batch you make has the same ingredients, you "cook" at the same temperature, etc., but each batch might be slightly different for some reason. We have not significantly altered the formulation of our sponge since launch, but from time to time, batches may be slightly softer or a bit firmer. Overall, though, it's the same awesome Miracle Sponge.

If you have run into a problem with one of your sponges, please let Ulta know through their Returns section on the website. They are awesome about helping out.

                  Thanks!

                  Hi cltaylor,

Great question! While the sponge is designed to absorb liquid, the density of most of the products used (foundations, BB/CC creams etc) is thick enough that you will find that the amount that soaks into the sponge is so very minimal. If you use the sponge wet, it soaks in a bit more liquid; less if you use it dry.

                  Hope that helps!

                  Hi SG,

This product is made in China. We have heard from our fans that this product works as well as or even better than the Beauty Blender, for just a fraction of the price. Considering you should be replacing your sponges every 60-90 days, it's definitely a more affordable option for an equally great use!

                  Thanks!

No, that's incorrect. The twin pack is literally two of our single sponges in one package. We don't formulate them differently or make them different sizes or shapes.

                  Thanks.

                  Hi Kara,

Such a good question! While the sponge is designed to absorb liquid, the density of most of the products used (foundations, BB/CC creams etc) is thick enough that you will find that the amount that soaks into the sponge is so very minimal. Probably about the same amount that would stay on your makeup brushes.

You can use the sponge when wet to get more overall coverage, and you can use it dry to get a bit more of a natural look and feel.

                  Hope that helps!

In answer to your question, yes, this works great with both powder and liquid foundations.
