Comments about Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge Set:

My preferred beauty sponge.
Real Techniques has great quality and I like buying 2 because I tend to have backups for my daily used products. I tend to use a new sponge every 2.5/3 months, depending on it's use.

Blends well, washes easily, has an angle for the entire face.
It does stain with foundationg and contour creams, but it does wash off the product without worrying about excess product.

Comments about Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge Set:

This sponge is a good drugstore option compared to the beauty blender, however, I had to work harder to get my foundation even. I was over this sponge and found the the Eco Tools sponge is soooo much softer and easier to use! Even better..... It's cheaper! I suggest getting the single sponge rather than the two pack of eco tools sponges because the smaller one is stiffer than the large dark green one. Don't usually post reviews but thought this would really help out!

I have used these sponges for years so when I bought this pack and opened them I knew immediately that they were different. Real techniques has changed this sponge to a different material that feels more like dollar store knock off beauty blenders. So sad that they changed this product it now sucks!

The great thing about these sponges is you can use them wet or dry. If you want a more natural looking finish, you can wet the sponge before you apply foundation. For a more airbrushed look, use the sponge dry.

                                Thanks!

hi there! So I've been told that the quality of the sponge is different from when you first launched it. i was wondering if that is true? For example, I've been told that the "old version" was squishyer, and the current sponges are firmer, a bit harder. So my question is, has the product changed at all since it was first launched?

                                Hi lml,

Thanks for your question. The best way I think about our sponges is that they are like batches of cookies - each batch you make has the same ingredients, you "cook" at the same temperature, etc., but each batch might be slightly different for some reason. We have not significantly altered the formulation of our sponge since launch, but from time to time, batches may be slightly softer or a bit firmer. Overall, though, it's the same awesome Miracle Sponge.

                                Thanks!

                                Hi cltaylor,

Great question! While the sponge is designed to absorb liquid, the density of most of the products used (foundations, BB/CC creams etc) is thick enough that you will find that the amount that soaks into the sponge is so very minimal. If you use the sponge wet, it soaks in a bit more liquid; less if you use it dry.

                                Hope that helps!

Hi Qwertyuiop (cute name - top letter row!)

No, that's incorrect. The twin pack is literally two of our single sponges in one package. We don't formulate them differently or make them different sizes or shapes.

                                Thanks.

Does this sponge soak up the foundation when applying?

                                Hi Kara,

Such a good question! While the sponge is designed to absorb liquid, the density of most of the products used (foundations, BB/CC creams etc) is thick enough that you will find that the amount that soaks into the sponge is so very minimal. Probably about the same amount that would stay on your makeup brushes.

You can use the sponge when wet to get more overall coverage, and you can use it dry to get a bit more of a natural look and feel.

                                Hope that helps!
