It effortlessly applies cream concealers, foundations and contouring formulas and is ideal for blending the multi-tasking shape tape contour concealer without creasing into fine lines. This all-in-one blending sponge effortlessly applies cream concealers, foundations and contouring formulas and is ideal for blending the multi-tasking shape tape contour concealer (sold separately) for full coverage and contouring.

To cover & perfect:
  • Dot concealer directly over blemishes, dark spots or other imperfections and use the narrow, tapered side of the sponge to dab and blend.
  • To cover redness or uneven skin tone, apply concealer directly onto skin and blend using the larger, domed end of the sponge.
  • To offset the look of dark circles, trace concealer onto undereye area in a "triangle of light" formation and blend using the narrow side of the sponge.

To contour & highlight:
  • Trace concealer in light, thin lines directly onto areas you want to highlight and contour, such as the cheekbones, forehead, chin and nose.
  • Use the narrow, pointed side of sponge to blend formula into skin in the direction of the lines you traced. The larger, domed side can be used to soften any harsh lines.
  • Wear concealer 1-2 shades darker for creamy contouring and 1-2 shade lighter as a luminous highlighter.

Tarteist tip: For light, natural coverage, apply the sponge dry. For fuller coverage, you can use water or a setting spray to dampen the sponge.

I bought this on Black Friday! I absolutely hate it. It doesn't apply evenly. It's super dense so it doesn't pick up much product. Made me look super patchy!! I am just gonn though it away. I have so much better ones that were even cheaper.

absolute perfection

Comments about Tarte Double Duty Beauty Quickie Blending Sponge:

I have never understood the beauty blender fad. I have tried every sponge under the sun and just didn't know why someone would want to spend the money on something that just sucks in bacteria and soaks up all your product! However, I was very surprised to see how dense and textured this new sponge by tarte was. I'm glad I risked the purchase. I haven't used a foundation brush in MONTHS. I'm mad for this product, and when it comes back in stock, I'm buying FIFTY.

I've never left a review in my life but this sponge is incredible. Applies makeup like a dream and does not have to be damp! I hated using other sponges that I had to run under water and then squeeze the excess off! Absolutely worth the price.

    My favorite blending sponge

Comments about Tarte Double Duty Beauty Quickie Blending Sponge:

When I first bought this sponge I wasn't sure I was going to love it being that it is dense. I was used to the beauty blender, which is soft and hollow. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to wet the sponge or leave it dry so I tried to wet it but it did not absorb as much water as the BB. The make up went on so beautifully that it gave me better coverage than the beauty blender. I think this has to do with the fact that it is so packed that the makeup will not get absorbed into the sponge and hence giving maximum coverage. Some cons are that at first the sponge will smell like chemicals but the smell will go away once it washed regularly. I do wash mine every day and I must say that washing it is a little hard but i usually pump soap or shampoo and then swirl it in my hand rinse and repeat until all the foundation is gone. It does leave behind a slight white cast but it is only noticeable because the sponge is a deep purple. Overall, I would buy this sponge again.

I really like this sponge! It works well and doesn't soak up product like cheaper ones that I've used, and is less expensive than other name brand sponges.

Comments about Tarte Double Duty Beauty Quickie Blending Sponge:

I wanted to buy a new beauty blender because the one I had was getting old (I had the original beauty blender). I was at Ulta and decided to give this a try. My first thought was wow this smells horrible. I then tried to wash it to see if the smell would come off but it didn't so then I tried it with my foundation to see how it applied. I noticed that on the instructions it didn't say whether or not to get it moist with water so after washing it I dried it off then tried it out. It was very stiff and didn't soak up any product but the application was very gross. After a few hours on your skin it looked alligator-like. I don't know how else to explain it. My skin looked so dry and I figured it was my skin so I used moisturizer but after two weeks of trial and error I went back to my original beauty blender and realized that this tarte beauty blender just isn't good at all.

          My favorite beauty sponge

Comments about Tarte Double Duty Beauty Quickie Blending Sponge:

I love the firmness of the sponge. You can get wet with water or Mac Fix or dry. It doesn't absorb the makeup like the beauty blender. I'm really happy with this sponge and I found I don't have to replace it as often as the Beauty Blender

Wet the sponge with water & squeeze out the excess liquid. Lay it flat to dry.
