Most Helpful Positive Review Worth the money! First of all, if you think this product is greasy, you're probably using too much. I've been using Biosilk serum for 10 years now and I won't stop! I rub a nickel size amount into my palms and rub my hands together to warm it up. Then, I run it evenly through my hair when it's damp OR dry. It helps my dry hair feel soft and look shiny. It's a little pricey but trust me when I say, a little goes a long way. If you've tried the CHI hair serum, the results are similar to that but the Biosilk serum smells SO much better. You won't regret it!
Most Helpful Critical Review A little goes a long way Great for curly thick hair. My daughter uses it all the time. It's a little difficult to use due to its runny texture and it doesn't take much at all. It feels oily but doesn't feel that way after it dries on her hair. I have straight thin hair and it makes my hair look oily and limp

I love Bio silk.! Have use it for years, I have salt and pepper hair and Bio gives a beautiful definition to my hair color, very striking. I receive a lot of compliments on the shine. Will use it forever, have no desire change to another product. Also the consistency is not heavy on the hair and scalp, and the fragrance is not overpowering.
I would buy over and over 5

Holy Grail! 5
GET IT! from Atlanta, GA
I usually get wigs and treat them like my real hair. I couldn't figure out how my stylist got them so silky, I could never accomplish it myself so I finally asked her how she kept them looking new after several washes & she told me about this serum. I recently colored my wig again, used developer twice during the process and was nervous about the outcome because it can cause hair to get dry but nope! After using a good color-friendly shampoo and letting the conditioner sit for an hour, I blow dried (cold setting until barely damp) and used this serum while it was still wet. Once it was slightly damp, I sprayed with my Tresemmé heat tamer on the hot setting. Once it was all the way dry, I used another quarter size (20" length) over the hair then flat ironed. It turned out brand new again. I will be using this forever!

I put it in my hair in the morning after shampooing my hair. I also use it at night for conditioning my hair over night. I love the way it makes my hair feel silky and not oily. It is like a dry oil. The smell is amazing and not overpowering

THE BEST 5

I have always loved Biosilk since years ago! It's a little pricey for the size of the bottle but it makes your hair feel so soft and helps with frizz. It also smells amazing

None greasy if you only use a little. This stuff is amazing! I use it on mine and my daughters hair. Our hair is curly and thick. This maintains the Friz and makes your hair shiny and beautiful.
My only hair product 5

I use a small amount of this on wet hair to prevent frizz on my straight highlighted 55 yr old hair. It works great whether I blow dry or just dry naturally! I'm not a fan of hair products, so I don't use anything else....I've been using this one for years.
A little goes a long way 5

I love the formula so much, I've used so many other oils and conditioner to help my hair detangle and stay smooth, but they just don't hit the same like this one. I have extremely thick hair and I also have eczema, this is the only thing that doesn't make my scalp greasy and it doesn't irritate my skin, I bought the biggest bottle and I've had this for a few months and I barely made a dent in it. I highly recommend this product for those who have sensitive skin and have thick unmanageable hair. It's pretty pricey but it's worth the money and you don't need to use a lot of product
Misunderstood product!!! 5

I have seen a lot of reviews saying that this product makes their hair more dry or more brittle and I just want to say that before you use this product you need to understand how it works. This is not a moisturizing product. This product needs to be used in combination with other (high end) moisturizing products. Biosilk therapy is high in protein which will cause damage if not used with a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner or some other moisturizing product. This product is made to protect hair, not to moisturize already damaged and dry hair. If your hair is damaged and dry you should be using good moisturizing products and adding biosilk on top to LOCK IN that moisture.
I love this product 5

Let me start by saying I am extremely picky with the products that I use on my hair. With that being said, I already have very healthy hair that is long and thick but also fine. I have been using this product for years and even when I try something new I always come back to biosilk. This isn't a natural oil or anything so it can build up in your hair so I personally only use a small amount and I try to focus it on the ends of my hair to protect them. It tames any frizz I have and makes my hair soft. But I wouldn't say this is a "rescue" product for anyone with damaged hair though because it really won't hydrate your hair, it more or less just puts a nice coating on it which will help lock is moisture that is already there. IT DOES NOT ADD MOISTURE. this product is not to add moisture to your hair. If you have damaged hair you need to find products made specifically for damaged hair.
A "go to" hair serum.... 5

I have tried many serums, but this one I keep coming back to. I have thick, dry, fairly coarse hair with curls. This serum leaves my hair the shiniest and does the best job with being absorbed into the hair shaft as oppose to just feeling like it is coating it. And you do not need a lot, so the bottle lasts a long time. The scent is the BEST of all hair serums. I have allergies to scents and I can tolerate this one (I believe it tends to an essence of lavender). I really dislike the sweet, heavy, coconut and vanilla scents with a lot of the hair products out there. I have ditched trying any other serums at this point and am sticking with this tried and true product. This serum has been around a long time, so I believe that says a lot!

I purchased this product cause my mom has used it for years, I got it after getting a haircut in which I cut 8 inches, after that haircut all my hair looked beautiful and healthy (natural, uncolored, I do nothing to my hair) And I wanted to protect it to let it grow again, so 1 week after adding biosilk to my haircare routine, my hair looks fried, extremely dry, breaking with tons of split ends. That I'm astonished!!! This has never happened before. Then I read reviews about this, and how this product is just like makeup for your hair, it doesn't hydrate it, its just a synthetic coating of silicones that make it look good but after each use it builds up and prevents the hair from getting hydrated! This product doesn't nourish your hair, it just dries it out, and by this you keep putting more and more biosilk on (more hair makeup) No wonder why my moms hair has always look like straw, we just thought she had really bad hair and biosilk was helping her!!

I used to love this product when I was a teen. It seemed to really work. I'd put it of before straight ironing my hair. I have since cut down on heating tools to help prevent damage. This product leaves a wax feeling and makes my hair stick as if I put wax in my hair. Only after heat is applied does it smooth out. Threw the bottle out because it seemed to encourage split ends and damage. No longer a fan of this product. Sorry for the negative feedback, but just wanted to be honest about my experience.

Was Very Skeptical 5

I honestly thought this product wasn't going to work well for my hair. I read the other review and saw all of the complaints so many others have had that I almost didn't buy it. I love my hair and work very hard to take care of it. It was only the fact that I had heard so many great reviews from people in person that made me give it a shot and I am VERY glad I did. I absolutely love this product! It makes my hair look and feel so healthy! I put it in after letting my hair dry from soaking to just damp and afterwards no matter what I do to my hair as long as this is in it it is soft, glossy, bouncy, and beautiful! It has body, life, and shine every day now and I will definitely be purchasing again!
Classic, great, but understand your hair & silicone. 4

I have used many, many silicone serums and other smoothing products on my hair over the years. I've gone silicone-free, I've gone silicone heavy...I'm just obsessed with experimenting with hair products. I keep coming back to this one. First of all, the smell. To die for! Smells like a salon in the best way. I have tried the light version of this and did not like it. I have thick but fine hair. So fine strands but a ton of them. My hair is just slightly wavy. This tames whatever frizz I get from disrupting my waves, and helps my hair be super smooth when it is handing straighter or I blow it out. This is basically a dimethicone product. The good news is that it will cling more specifically to damaged parts of your hair. The bad news is that it will build up if you don't use the right shampoo. Even sulfates don't always get all the dimethicone out in one pass. Sciencey Hair Blog's info on this is great. If you and your hair like a good dimethicone coating, you can't do better than Silk Therapy Original. Personally, I find it great for my hair. The only issue is that my ends tend to get dry, even if I directly drench them in this. So it's not perfect, but it's dang close.
