 Wonder Milk Buttery Botanical Jelly

I love this product so much! Yes, it is very pricey, but it's absolutely worth it, if it serves your needs well. If you are looking for something that's going to be used in large daily quantities (i.e. full body moisurizer) this may not be the right product for your budget. I use it daily, but for small dry areas as needed (lips, elbows) and on my hands at night, so it is a part of my daily routine, but the same jar has lasted me well over a year (close to 2!) so the price feels worth it in my case. I see a lot of people have issues with runniness or grittiness—this is a naturally derived moisurizer with no petroleum to keep it stable & is highly temperature sensitive. If it's hot it's going to melt, if it's room temp it will have a the consistency of a soft balm, in between temps or temp shifts will give it a grainy feeling (though I find it to not really be grainy, as once it heats up from your body it completely melts in & there's no residue.) If the inconsistancy of the product isn't something you can handle, it's probably not for you or at least you might want to keep it somewhere (i.e. fridge) where it will remain at the same temp regardless of the surrounding environment. If the price & stability of the product are a huge consideration, than be aware beforehand, or maybe find something else. I wanted a non-petroleum based substitute but with a similar texture (when it's at a room temp or lower) & this is the best I've found. I gifted it to my nephew, so he wasn't covered in petroleum every day, as his parents used aquaphor after his nightly baths (def check skin allergies beforehand when using on sensitive baby skin.) Recently I also started using it as my tattoo aftercare balm and it's been great (again petroleum is no good for tattoos, It can trap in bacteria on a fresh tattoo & if you use too much it starts to pull the color out.) Though often recommended by tattoo artists, they will always tell you not use too much & only for the first few days before switching to a moisurizer that is good for healing—unscented, natural oils (some are too heavy, like avocado, so make sure it has oils that won't clog up pores)—with wonder jelly, you can use it immediately after being tattooed and throughout the healing process, as well as for longterm care. I prefer it to a lotion for longterm care as it feels more hydrating and I only need a small amount. With all mousurizers and balms, when using on tattoos, you want to make sure not to overdo it & with the Wonder Jelly I don't have to worry, as a little bit goes a long way! It absorbs quickly, leaves no greasy residue, and has no scent whatsoever, making it ideal for use on sensitive skin & healing puposes. 100% recommend Wonder Jelly, especially if you're looking for a non-petroleum based substitute.

This has little grit pieces in it. I normally love their products but this was not good. You literally have to wipe pieces of grit off your face. Won't waste my money on this again.

I couldn't finish using this product because while trying to use it and apply to my skin I kept running into the same problem no matter what method I tried.

I'm not sure why there are so many good reviews. The product feels very oily and grainy when applied. I thought the texture would smooth out after a while, but it doesn't.

The texture is gritty like an exfoliate instead of a moisturizer. I called Beekman to ask if this is normal and was told this happens during a temperature change or with age. The product states buttery botanical jelly, its not buttery at all.
