NUTRAFOL Women's Balance 45+ Clinically Proven Hair Growth Supplement

I tried this product earlier this year. I am in perimenopause and have started shedding much more hair than usual. Nutrafol was highly recommended by several people so I gave it a try. Five months in, everything was going good, my hair was thickening and looking so much more healthy. So as far as it doing what it says, I can speak for that. The problem was, I had my yearly check up with my primary care physician during this time and when my bloodwork came back my liver enzymes were over 4 times the normal level. My doctor immediately starting talking about liver disease and all kinds of other scary things due the high level of my enzymes. I had to go every 2 weeks for 3 months for repeat bloodwork to see if it was coming back down. It wasn't....I was sent to a specialist, had to have more very extensive bloodwork, ultrasound, and a CT scan of my liver. My doctor finally narrowed it down to the Nutrafol. He asked me to stop taking the supplement and continued to monitor my levels as I was coming off of the Nutrafol. After 3 months without taking it, my liver enzymes are now back to normal. It was very scary to go through. I was fatigued every day, my appetite was completely gone, the thought of almost any food made me nauseous, I lost about 15 lbs that I still haven't been able to gain back yet (I am very small and did not need to lose any weight). So many other random health problems followed. So this is not to discourage anyone from buying this product. But I would just say to be careful. If you start noticing any changes in the way you are feeling, weight loss, loss of appetite, any of it, go see your doctor and make sure your levels are ok.

I've been using this for 2 weeks so it's early to tell. I'm really hoping it will help with my shedding! I'm going to try it at least 6 months.
