Drop a small amount of oil into palms and rub hands together to evenly disperse the oil. Run your fingers through damp or dry hair from mid-lengths to ends.
- For damaged and color-treated hair, apply to damp strands before heat styling to protect and reduce breakage.
- For braids, apply directly onto the scalp and throughout damp hair.
- For fine to medium hair, use 1-2 pumps.
- For medium to thick hair, use 2-3 pumps.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Amika products! I read everything when it came to the Hydrating Line. Also, read all the reviews and thought well I do have dry ends on my hair, the top of my roots too, so why not?? I ordered the shampoo and conditioner also! I was very excited to get all my new products....

I use this on my highlighted hair and it is like silk. 2 pumps and blow dry and perfection all the way down to the ends. Wow.
locks in hydration for my thick, coily hair
Hair Type Very Curly Hair
This is a relatively heavy oil, but it works well on my thick, coily hair. I use it after washing/conditioning on damp hair to lock in hydration, and before blow drying for heat protection. It keeps my hair moisturized and shiny without weighing it down. I switch to lighter oils for day-to-day use to avoid too much build-up or greasiness from this heavier oil. I previously used Amika's blockade: heat defense serum (now Superfruit Star Lightweight Hair Styling Oil) and prefer this because of the noticeable humectants.
