I am not sure which ingredient it is that does it, but it breaks down the bonds in your hair/burns your hair similar to what I experienced using Vegamour. Smells like orange. Lathers well. A very thick solution, a little goes along way. I wash my hair 2-3 times a week. I have thin hair but alot of hair that tangles easily and is rather frizzy due to my hair jeans. This shampoo leaves my hair feeling silky smooth and soft. My hair looks so healthy and the product lasts for a long time so I think it's worth the price.
