Use with a good powder brush, otherwise it will puff all over your clothing. And you don't need to use a lot either...just a bit on the brush. Too much and it will feel cakey, but that's no different than Bare Minerals. Please, for the love of god, Ulta, can you make the sealing lid easier to rem...

Its okay but a mess
Didn't really do anything special hoping it would help mattify and set but it didn't match my makeup. The packaging is horrible and a mess and the powder needs to be reformulated.

I was obsessed with this since I discovered it, but the lightest shade no longer matches me and I feel I have to use more to get the same level of coverage. Pleaseee please include a lighter more neutral shade PLEASE. I tell everyone about this product!
ULTA DO NOT DISCONTINUE EVER
This review is massively overdue as I have been using Velvet Veil pretty much since they came out with it (after they discontinued their last powder foundation) and it's my FAVORITE foundation I've ever used. Hand on my heart. And I get complements on my skin when I wear it alllll the time. Reasons, It's a loose powder so application is simple & quick. The coverage is actually amazing. I have some acne & scaring and it covers it all up, plus sort of fills in my pores giving a really smooth look (esp on nose & cheeks). Bc of the above reason, I use a lighter & darker shade as my eyelid contour/shadowing. The longer you wear it (I'm a waitress and I'm outside all day in the summer heat) and the greasier your face gets (doesn't hold up great to true SWEAT but what foundation does…) the more "glowy" the makeup looks. And I'm only saying that bc my customers tell me that allllll the time and I just say, "it's all just sweat and Velvet Veil" lol. THE PRICE. used to be a diehard BM girl. Have never regretted switching. Bang for your buck is unparalleled & I genuinely like VV sooo much more than any BM I've tried. ULTA IM BEGGING YOU PLZ DONT EVER DISCONTINUE OR CHANGE THE FORMULA. You nailed it. Seriously.
Pretty good!
This powder is affordable and effective. I have the translucent one because I like to keep my makeup natural, and it does the job. It takes oilyness away and keeps the beautiful glow from my skin prep!
I would buy this product again!
Goes on smooth, buildable coverage. Works out perfectly for lightening up under my eyes without settling in lines.
