Cocoa & Rum
I was pleasantly surprised by this perfume. It definitely smells different than I expected but I really like it. I don't smell vanilla or rose at all actually. At first, it smells very boozy and powerful from the rum note, with hints of sandalwood. As it dries down, the cocoa emerges and smells wonderful, like a cup of hot cocoa with a splash of spicy rum in it! The longevity on my skin is impressive. When I first received it, I sprayed it once on my arm in the late afternoon, and my arm still smelled like cocoa the next morning when I woke up! This does remind me of Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille and I think it could be considered a unisex fragrance.
Stunning vanilla
The opening of this scent is warm and airy, with a zesty brightness from orange and elemi that lifts the vanilla right from the start. I love fragrances that remind me of European vacations right from the start! Then, creamy depth emerges with a hint of cocoa and a whiff of rum. The florals weave in and out softly over the wear time, which by the way lasts easily the entire day, but it's never too flowery, just enough to give it an airy mood. The vanilla base is so natural and rich, with sandalwood and a subtle musks that last even to the next day on my clothes. It's comforting and cozy, but not necessarily in a cold weather way, as I can see myself wearing it on hot days as well. The drydown feels so inviting on me. This is the scent I can see myself wearing from office to date night! This fragrance was given for free through a review program.
