My everyday holy grail concealer!
I've been using the Black Opal True Color Concealer in Spiced Cognac for over a year now and it completely transformed my skin. As a makeup beginner, this was the product that made me actually feel confident applying concealer. The shade match is perfect for my skin tone, it blends seamlessly, and it covers everything I need it to without looking cakey or settling into fine lines. It's become my go to for everyday makeup. I reach for it over and over again because it never lets me down, whether I'm doing a full face or just a quick five minute routine before work or class. The formula wears well throughout the day and doesn't oxidize or fade weird. I love the formula but I dont think theres any true golden warm undertones. They all seem to have brown , red and deep undertones

I really love the formula of this concealer. I find it way more hydrating than the Nars radiant creamy concealer that I used to use. The color is actually a perfect match to my skin tone which is a huge plus too.

I was ready to check out and stood by the Blk/Opl display. I've known this brand since I was a little girl, and was known for their affordability and a shade range dedicated to our Melanin Queens, when there wasn't much inclusivity in the beauty industry. I swatched the color, 'Bisque Please', the lightest shade in the Brightening Concealer, and let me tell you how it melted onto my skin in the most creamiest of consistency, patted it on my undereyes and concealed my sun spot with very minimal effort. High-end to drugstore brands (NARS, ELF, FENTY Beauty, Urban Decay, Tarte) was too cakey, dry, and settled into fine lines, some too yellow, or grayish, and some just didn't last. I applied this on a Sunday morning and set with ELF's Halo Glow setting powder. It's now the end of a Sunday evening dinner and undereyes are still bright and smooth as I initially applied it! Picking up another while there's a Cyber Monday sale going on. I'm Filipina, combination skin, tendency to sweat/get flushed, medium w/ golden undertones (For reference: Fenty Eaze Drop #10, NYX Bare w/ Me BLUR in 09: Light Medium).
