Covergirl's TruBlend Skin Enhancer is a highlighting balm that comes packaged in a tube, similar to a tube of lipstick, and at the bottom of the tube you can twist the highlighter up when you are going to apply it to your skin, and down when you're done using it you then put the top/lid on. I recei...ved the shade, "Rose Beam" to review and the tube it comes in is a very soft, light pink color, similar to the shade of the highlighter itself, and each skin enhancer shade comes in a colored tube that mimics the shade of the highlighter inside of the tube. I was excited to try to highlighter because I like the rose gold color and it reminds me of Rare Beauty's Mesmerize that I wear often, however, once I applied the balm that's where the similarities ended. I have light medium neutral skin and shades similar to Rose Beam generally leave my skin with a subtle pink hue but this Skin Enhancer did nothing in terms of color and it was not visible that I'd used a rose gold balm. Also, normally my face looks pretty smooth but one swipe of the highlighting balm is all it took for my face to look like a textured and uneven mess. It was as though a spotlight had been shined on my texture, pointing it out for all to see. There are also tiny specks of glitter in the balm that just don't work for someone in their 40s, like me, and this highlighter seemed to only accentuate my flaws and make them standout and because of that I would not recommend this product, nor would I use it again.
