The original (dark gray can) , also has time release fragrance to leave your hair smelling fresh throughout the day. ACDS has a few additional benefits. It has oil control for the scalp, shine as well as manageability. The fragrance is lighter. Best application is to shake can and section hair. Spray approximately six inches from scalp. I buy this dry shampoo and I've never had issues. Today I bought one and when I tried to use it, it would not spray. I went in and swapped it out and tried the new one. The new one sprayed just fine in the store. Got home and now it won't spray either! It's completely full, I even waited a whole day to test again before asking this. Am I doing something wrong or am I just getting duds?

I used it up too quickly
This product is ok.. definitely not worth the money. This product doesn't last very long, I used it up in about 2 weeks and I don't use it very often.

Left my hair feeling dirty and with dry scalp
After doing a lot of research I decided on giving this product a try, I have used the Amika brand before and I liked it but it left white cast behind and I was looking for something that wouldn't since I have dark hair. I went with this product and was excited. After the first use I noticed the white cast but thought I didnt apply it on correctly even though I had read over the instructions like 5 times. Moments later my hair began to feel heavy, and oily, it was something I had never experienced before. I do have oily hair but the way this product made my hair feel and look was really bad. I washed my hair hoping my hair would go back to normal but unfortunately it didnt. I ended up getting dandruff. Ever since then my hair has fallen out more than normal. I still struggle with my hair loss as it has not improved and did end up returning the product after a few days.
Disappointing waste of money

I actually LOVE this product, but the dispenser clogs within two uses each time. I tried the full size twice & tried the travel too. No luck - used the travel once and it clogged in the middle of the first use. Good product, but it doesn't spray.
Worth the Price
Unfortunately this is so worth the price. Didn't realize I was frying my hair off with heat protectant meant for wet hair, but this changed my hair texture immediately and mitigated the damage. It lasts longer than I thought as well!
I would most definitely buy this product again
