Mostly a hit but there are a few misses
Overall I think this is a good starting point for a brush set. Most of the brushes work well but a few really miss the mark for me. The pattern I'm seeing in the face brushes, the black only bristles are bad but the white tipped brushes are more reliable. The good brushes: The ultimate blending, putty primer applicator (I don't use it for that I actually like it for bronzer), the sponge, the two eyeshadow and brow brush. The blending brush is good for foundations and i've used it as a blush brush too. I will say, I'm using the About-Face foundation and that does not meld well with the brush but it works great with the sponge so I think it's just the formula and not the brush. The putty brush I don't use for it's intended purpose, I think it works great with my cream bronzer, but the spatula part is kinda cool. I didn't expect to like the sponge as much as I did, but it's been a go to for me. The rubbery end is really interesting. My only wish is that it was just a little smaller so I could get a little more precision under my eyes with concealer. The shadow brushes are good for a super simple 1-2 shadow look. They pick up product well and blend well too. I don't use brow powders so the brush end of the brow brush I don't use but it's good for making a little wing with a cream/shadow liner. Meh: The pointed powder brush is meh in my opinion. I cannot use it for precision powder application but I will use it with an invisible setting powder as a final step and just lightly swirl it over my face and that works well. It's just too big for anything else. the BAD: I was so so so disappointed by the blush and concealer brushes. I couldn't get the blush brush to work with any blush formulations. It was either streaky or just picked up nothing. I ended up picking up a whole other blush brush because it just couldn't get it to work with anything. And the concealer brush was just so streaky. I could see my blending pattern in the streaks on my face. Huge let down.

This set is all you need for a stunning makeup look! I adore elf brushes! Cruelty free and vegan, but also soo affordable! I can never go back to spending 45+ for one brush! These are so soft and well made. After many many washings these brushes still blend seamlessly and never shed!

Every single brush in this set is great quality. It's so close to finishing a full face, but I had to add another blending brush for cream products and an extra powder brush so I didn't have to use the same one for blush and bronzer. It's a good value-for-money base set for your every day makeup, but if you love a full face like me, be prepared to buy a couple brushes to complete it!
