The best I've tried!
I bought this after doing a bit of research on self tanners (I was pretty nervous to try self tanning again after many failed attempts from the mid 2000s). I am fair-skinned, redhead, freckled and super freaked out about streaking and orange looking self tanners. Having said all that, this one is a ...

maybe if it was $20
i am a cheap tan girl. i can let A LOT of things slide due to my unwillingness to spend $30+. but i was having a bad week so i decided to treat myself. this tan made it worse. let me firstly say, the color is very very cute instantly upon rinsing, it is actually very olive in my opinion. the color is giving fake tan though so if that isnt ur vibe, look elsewhere. it dries down and develops very quickly which is nice. so no sticky feeling and no bad smell, and no super green look after washing off which is my one gripe with bondi sands, which is the sole reason why i splurged on this new tan in the first place. so basically, no bad smell, no stickiness, lovely color, pretty dark. which is why i will give 3 stars, because if i had one (emphasis on one) singular event to go to the VERY (emphasis on very) next day after tanning, this tan would be perfect. HOWEVER, i have never in my years of fake tanning had a tan dissapear? try to dissapear? in the way this tan does. literally day 2 of tan and it looks AWFUL. mind you the first time i used this product i was not feeling good so i didnt even get to test its durability vs sweat in the gym and it still looked just awful, literally nowhere to be found on my hands less than 48 hours later and my arms and shoulders were giving snake skin. and this is w exfoliating, shaving, moisturizer etc. teeeerrrrrible fading and girl the clock is TICKING the second u rinse this off. like run to wherever u need to be tan at because u dont have much time before this tan starts running away from ur skin cells. omg and when i tanned again to give this another shot, paying extra close attention to my prep as well as moisturizing 2x a day, still just awful. went to the gym, and im dripping orange 3 days after rinsing it off. walked in w (somewhat) tan hands and arms and i lost them to the gym. rip. for almost $40 i wanted BETTER. for a few more dollars i couldve (and shouldve) been a boujee loving tan girly. if this product was $20 i would let all of this slide but no for 40 this is despicable. im giving orange snake
Maybe just not for me
Purchased this self tanner to try it out while waited on my tried and true tanner to be delivered . From the good reviews I thought this was going to be a winner but unfortunately it left me super orange and the tan isn't consistent. It's probably more suited for someone with a darker skin tone than me .
Not impressed
I used FakeBake for years and loved the stuff but it never got my legs to really look dark so I decided to try something different this year. I tried CoCo&Eve and figured if give it a few tries before writing a review. The first time i used it, it went on great. Loved how smooth the application was but it left little dots on my legs, im assuming from shaving. So i decided to try it again since my lower legs were still whiter than the rest of me. The next time my legs got a darker look to them but my whole body had an orange tint to it. My knees, hands, wrists, ankles, toes…never had a result turn orange before with my old stuff. I tried scrubbing it off but its been over a week and im still dealing with the orange pieces on my skin. This could still be a trial and error with this product but i never had these problems with my FakeBake. The difference though is CoCo&Eve is a foam and FakeBake is a spray (both are used with a mitt). I also didnt care for the sticky (clamy) feeling after i applied it. I felt clamy and if i tried to put on leggings, felt like trying to put clothes on right after shower and everything sticks to you.. so I'd have to wear shorts for a while till i felt "dry" enough to put on pants again. I really wanted to love this product but so far I'm not impressed. I will give it a few more tries to see if i can get a better result before i throw in the towel though since I already spent the money on the product.
Wet Formula
Got this as a recco and i absolutely cannot stand it. Its be 45 minutes and the tan will not dry down. Its so sticky and wet, i feel like its going to come out a streaky mess because it will not dry! Ugh. Will stick to Bondi Sands and Loving tan.
NOT Gatekeeping this!!! Best self-tanner!
My usual go-to self-tanner is the Jergen's natural glow, but I decided to try this one to see if it was worth the hype, and it was! Very natural looking. I love how you can choose the length of time you want it on for the color results. One thing to note, it dries fast, so you need to rub it in quickly. If a spot looks uneven, it may just be the product itself because I've noticed it will wash off and blend in eventually if you use it correctly.
