I wont get it 5 stars because this is NOT for beginners. You have to understand your follicle direction, the temperature of your body and room, and have the wrist and grip movement to pull the hair out. I have extremely deep roots and coarse straight and curly hairs with no self waxing experience pr...ior to this. After about 3 trials and errors I found one of the best methods and now my whole body is soft and hair free , and the hair that does grow out? So soft . I recommend warming this jar up for 5 second intervals for 10 seconds max. Then let it sit while you set up a fan that can point in the direction of the body part you're sugaring and make a comfortable seat. This give the sugar time to spread its heat and become easier to pull from the jar. I recommend the tool first until you can regulate your hand and body part temp to cool. Then starting at the place at the lowest point of where your hair is (say the ankle if you're doing your shin and your hair grows down towards your toes) , pull in the opposite direction SLOWLY until youve covered a comfortable area (like ankle to mid shin). Carefully and slowly pull the paste back to the start back at that same start point, and pull up again as spread out and as far as it will go and still stay intact. Try to slowly work the paste back at the start point for a third time (but even here it might be ready to rip), but if you can pull the paste in the opposite direction of the hair for a third time reaching the top of the area, pull the paste in the direction it grows in one swift rip. You can stop pulling at the third pull and let it sit for a second too to get a good anchor, but if you sit with it on too long your body temp is just going to melt it. So be slow and calculated in your spread and quick in your rip. If you struggle with redness and ingrowns you are simply not exfoliating enough for any type of deep root removal, truly not trying to be rude, but these hairs will grow from deep and if you dont exfoliate enough this process will irritate your skin. Please invest in an AHA/BHA or lactic/Glycol acid to exfoliate with regularly . The sugar paste is made with lemon, sugar, and water. Ensure you are not allergic to any of these.
