Beginner at-home kit- needs practice

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I was super excited to try this product. I've dabbled in facial wax strips before, and have even (with mixed results) tried them on my legs. Since this wax is specifically formulated for legs, underarms, and the bikini area, I was really cu...rious to see if it would work better for me—especially on my legs. Right out of the box, the product felt approachable and fun. As someone fairly new to at-home waxing, particularly with heated wax, I appreciated that nothing about it felt overwhelming. Everything was packaged neatly, and the instructions were clear, detailed, and easy to follow. Heat warnings were displayed prominently, and all the necessary tools were included, making setup super simple. I followed the microwave instructions and mixed the wax to the recommended consistency with no issues. The smell was another pleasant surprise—I'm very sensitive to scents, and I was worried about a harsh chemical or burnt smell, but the wax actually had a nice, mild fragrance. Using the product was a bit of a mixed experience, mostly due to my inexperience. Applying the wax was straightforward, but I found it tricky to spread a properly thin layer or create the thicker end needed to grip and pull. Once on my skin, the wax hardened quickly, and lifting the spatula off without it tugging painfully was a challenge. I also didn't get as much hair removed as I'd hoped, though I think that's likely user error rather than a flaw in the product. That said, the hairs that were removed were definitely pulled from the root, which was satisfying. I'm not sure I could do a full leg just yet, but I plan to keep practicing to improve my technique. One major plus: the wax didn't leave a sticky residue. That was a huge relief. The kit includes post-wax moisturizing wipes (which also smelled really nice), though it only comes with two, so I saved them until the end. Thankfully, my skin felt comfortable enough in the meantime to keep going without irritation. Overall, I think this is a great option for anyone looking for a semi-permanent hair removal method without the cost of salon waxing. The product feels safe, easy to use, and thoughtfully designed—especially for beginners like me. I'll definitely be giving it another try.
