I purchased this to try on my naturally curly hair. When I use other products with it, it does just fine. I can't use this product alone. Even though it claims to have a high hold factor, it doesn't. This is the best gel I've tried. I use a tiny bit of gel with some water to style my sons hair in the morning and it holds better than any other gel we have tried. It does harden the hair a little bit. It washes out easily. It smells good. Makes our mornings quick and easy!

I have used this for over 20 years- I have curly wavy thinning hair with lots of cowlicks (is that the word???) Anyway, I also perspire through my head which immediately causes my hair to go limp. A good haircut, round brushes and a powerful hairdryer that could lift an airplane gives me the ability to have a real hair style. People constantly tell me how lucky I am to have such great thick hair-nope- it's the Hardup. It doesn't weigh my hair down (pastes always KILL my hair-it just lays right down and dies.) My hair stays clean and manageable-actually looks better the day after I wash it. It has become pricey so I have tried other products; I don't think there is anything better on the market.

I've been using this gel on my son for a year now. It's a good medium hold but doesn't last all day. You can change the hold by use more or less water while styling.

I love the way this gel smells. It has a good hold and lasts all day. I did a slick up bun using this to go to a theme park and at the end of the day, my hair was still intact. 10/10 recommend
