Drybar Southern Belle Volume-Boosting Mousse

I have really thin and flat hair and ive been using this for about a year and i quite literally will never use anything else. It works so amazing (but you do have to blowdry atleast the roots) and doesnt weigh down my baby thin hair, also the smell is heavenly - i work at ulta and highly highly recommend as ive tried so many others and this is by far the best

I went to Ulta and asked for a product that would give me volume. This was recommended. It's like using nothing at all.

Not only was this product entirely ineffective, but the fumes caused me to cough, and, two washes and two conditioning treatments later, the product is still lingering in my hair! My normally soft hair is horribly tangled and gloppy. And I am still coughing! I have used other mousse products in the past, and usually the only issue is finding the right combination of hold without crunch. This mousse, however, provided zero hold, maximum frizz, and damage for days.

I have medium length hair with a few front layers and highlights. I like some fullness and body in my hair, and this mousse works great to achieve that look. I agree the scent is strong when the mousse is wet, but after it is dry I don't notice it. A small amount of this mousse makes my hair full and soft, with a shiny smooth look. I dry my hair upside down until it is 80 percent dry, then finish with a large round brush to shape the layers and add fullness at the crown. I do use heat styling, usually a 1 1/2 inch curling iron around the layers to finish them. My fine hair does not feel stiff or sticky with this mousse, and the style holds all day. Highly recommend!
