pigment differs between shades
The dazzleshadow version of illuminaughty is one of my favorite black eyeshadows, so I hoping this reformulation would be as good. while more pigmented, illuminaughty is more brown with blue/red shimmer. Buttery shine
I received this product for free from MAC for testing and review purposes. It's been a really solid addition to my makeup bag. The shadow feels smooth, not chunky glitter, not gritty, just a nice, buttery metallic finish. A little goes a long way, too. One tap with your finger gives you a lot of pigment (or even more with a damp brush). The shine is gorgeous. It's more of a foiled look rather than that in-your-face glitter that gets everywhere. It catches the light beautifully, and it really does last. I've worn it for long hours with little creasing and fading.

I am so in love with the MACximal Long Wear Molten Metallic Eye Shadow. This eyeshadow from MAC is everything I want,need, and love in an eyeshadow. I got the shade After Party, and I am absolutely obsessed with it. I have included this color into so many of my makeup looks and it never failed me. The formula is amazing. It is highly pigmented and glides like butter on the eyelids. It does not crease. This eyeshadow blends easily and is buildable for an even bolder look. I had no fall out at all while applying. It lasted all day and did not budge. Even after 10 hours, it still looked great, and did not settle in my crease. But it it still easy to remove and comes off easily, without staining the skin, with makeup remover. I love how bold the After Party shade is. It adds that dramatic touch. After Party is shiny and makes my eyes look bright. This shade is really very versatile. Depending on the look I am going for, and the color pallet I use with it, I can tone it down or go for a very dramatic look. I love that about it. I cannot wait to try the other shades.
