This is the Goat and Grail of Setting Powders
I was gifted this Fenty finishing powder called "Set it Down" in exchange for my honest review. TL:DR, I am literally in love with THIS and I am 99% that you will too. A very expensive luxury brand used to have a loose setting powder that would set your makeup so well, that once the transparent pow...

Picked the wrong shade
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Okay first I wanted to say I never got a chance to use this product. When it asked if I wanted to claim it I never realized it was for a darker skin person. But I can say the formula was very pigmented and when I tested the formula the powde...

Good but too dark
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Even though I couldn't keep it for myself, I don't think that's the product's fault at all. It was simply a shade mismatch on my end. The formula itself is really impressive, especially if you're looking for something that smooths your skin and helps your makeup last all day. I would definitely buy it again, but next time I'd make sure to get the correct shade. If you're thinking about trying it, I'd just recommend taking a little extra time to pick the shade that best matches your complexion.
Good but too dark
I really wanted to love this setting powder because I'd seen so many people rave about it, and honestly, the formula did not disappoint. The first thing I noticed was how smooth it made my makeup look. It blurred my pores, softened the appearance of my fine lines, and gave my skin that filtered look without looking heavy or cakey. It also kept my makeup in place for hours, and I barely had to touch up throughout the day. My only issue was that I ordered the wrong shade. It ended up being a little too dark for my skin tone, so instead of brightening under my eyes and setting my makeup the way I wanted, it slightly changed the color of my foundation. I tried making it work, but I knew it just wasn't the right match for me. Rather than letting it sit in my makeup drawer, I gave it to one of my friends whose skin tone was a better fit. She absolutely loved it! It blended perfectly into her makeup, gave her the same blurred finish I noticed, and looked so natural on her. Every time she's worn it, her makeup has looked flawless, and she's even told me it's become one of her favorite setting powders. 🗣️Banana is not the same Banana!!!
Im actually convinced that I received a mislabeled product…. I ordered shade banana, thinking it was the same as the pro filter powder, but the banana I got is super orange and med/dark. Also, after a few hours, it became really patchy, doesn't blend well, and completely separated, leaving foundation to look super streaky and patchy like I missed spots. So disappointing.
Disappointed, bring back the old formula
I am so disappointed that they changed the formulation. This used to be the Pro filter blurring powder and it was AMAZING. I bought it in doubles and different colors. I even got all my friends hooked. When i ran out i saw they reformulated. It doesnt even smell the same (the original smelled heavenly). This stuff sucks and is cheap. Does absolutely nothing. The diff shades are useless because they all do nothing. Back on the hunt for something better…
Formula
If youve been a fan of this for a while i wouldnt recomend repurchasing . The forumla is definitely different and now makes my makeup patchy which ive never had a problem with . Beware 🥲
