I firsf tried this and thought- great i smell like a campfire (not so strong), and nothing like I was expecting- Santal 33-ish, in a clean perfume. So you know, I have worn Santal 33 for years, along with Tom Ford Santal Blush, so you know my perfume taste to compare to your own. This always helps me when choosing a perfume. Anyhow, I tried it a second time, still just campire wood, but the third time when I stopped expecting it to smell like Santal 33, I picked up the minty and fresh notes. It is very uplifting, and when I put it on for the 4th time, a sales rep that was there stopped me and asked me what I was wearing and how clean and fresh it was. I agreed, showed her the tester, and decided to buy it. So, expect Palo Santo and minty, not a Santal 33 dupe. I love it!

I purchased a sample pack that included this scent with my own money, so this is a completely honest review. To put it simply, it stinks. It really, really stinks. Does is smell "earthy" and "woodsy"? Sure...overwhelmingly so. The Eucalyptus was excessively pungent, but not in a clean, pure way. The scent was somehow acidified in nature, perhaps by the black tear, to the point of almost smelling somewhat decayed or rancid. I thought it might just be my unique chemistry that rendered the scent so fowl, so I had my husband and son try it out as well, but with the same results. I even just spritzed it on a piece of paper to try to determine if it would smell better on something neutral, but it still just smelled horrible. I wound up throwing out the half bottle of remaining sample and I'm mystified by those who've given the fragrance rave reviews. To each their own, I guess.

The woody scent is warm and sophisticated, perfect for any occasion. It lasts all day and feels so luxurious. Love it!
