It truly gives you results!

I am truly shocked with how amazing this product is. I am a major skin care and makeup person. If it's sold in store high end or drug store I have tried it all to see what works best for me. My skin care routine is not cheap but every product has been worth every penny. I look way younger then my ag...

Horrible reaction. Swollen and burned eyes

I neve în my life got such a bad reaction from some eye cream ever or any other skicare product. I'm not new to retinol but something about this eye cream it's not right! I have read some reviews where some had reactions. You don't want to use this every night--it's that potent! I'm in my early 70's and I only use it once a week. Retinols are potent and I think as we age our skin is not as resilient. I also have very sensitive skin--allergic to hard water and chlorine.

Irritates skin and worsens lines

I'm 34 and have been using eye creams for 10+ years. The eye creams I used in the past did not improve my fine lines and dark circles (they just keep the status quo), so I thought I'd try something more "potent", which is why I bought this Elizabeth Arden Retinol eye cream. I've used EA's face creams and capsules before and had no problems with those. But this eye cream gave me such a negative experience that I had to leave a review: 1. Product irritates skin I only used the product at night because there's a line about photo-sensitivity in the insert. After applying it the first night the skin around my eyes felt tense and sensitive. The next few nights after using the cream, the area was in pain. There was a irritation (mild pain+itchiness) that persisted through the entire night and day. Washing my face in the morning did not help. The discomfort was there whether or not I put on an eye cream from another brand in the morning. Rubbing my eyes made it worse. 2. Product made fine lines WORSE Despite the irritation, I kept using the product hoping my skin would get used to it. That was a mistake. By day 2-3 I started noticing how dry the skin around my eyes were. My upper eyelids felt stretched thin. But the most horrible effect was on my under-eye fine lines; the product actually made them WORSE not better. Before starting the product, I had 2 faint lines under each eye. After a few days of using the product, each fine line deepened by at least 2x and many new branches formed (imagine a web). My eyes looked at least 10 years older. I ended up suffering through the product for almost a week, which was a mistake on me (hey, it's not cheap). It took another week for my skin to feel and look (more or less) back to normal again. I've never had such a drastic experience with an eye cream in my 10+ years. I'll make sure to read the negative reviews when buying a product in the future.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
