Apply to cleansed face and neck. Massage into skin until fully absorbed. Retinol Pro+ is recommended for retinol users and not for beginners. This formula contains retinol, a potent ingredient. Build up your tolerance to nightly use for rapid results:
Week 1 - Apply 2-3 times on non-consecutive nights.
Week 2 - Use every other night.
Week 3 - Use nightly as tolerated.
In the daytime, always protect skin with a Broad Spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen or higher.
Precautions: As with any retinol product, it is normal to temporarily experience mild redness, a warm, tingling sensation or flaking (skin exfoliation). If effects persist or cause discomfort, reduce the frequency of use until your skin adjusts, then revert to daily use as tolerated. In case of irritation, discontinue use. Avoid contact with eyes - if contact occurs, rinse well with water. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, seek medical assistance. Use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product.

Review for newbies .
Thought I'd write a review for first time retinol users. First, their directions stated 2-3 times a week and I would follow that for the first 2-4 weeks. Second, wash your face in the am and make sure that you use sunscreen the following day .... you could burn or flake. This is for retinol and not just neutrogena. Way too many bad reviews for people not understanding the basics of retinol and how if works. This particular product is great. Decent amount of retinol and fragrance free. A good non prescription strength option. I prefer a script, if possible. This is a good substitute.

I don't think this is for me. My skin is wrinkle free so this would have no noticeable impact. I don't feel I am the target audience and for the price I can't honestly add it to my skin routine

Love this product! I have sensitive skin and it didn't bother me at all! Just made sure to go slowly when you start! Cleared up my skin beautifully and helped target a lot of the aging that has started since I hit 37. I didn't notice a scent and my skin feels so smooth and beautiful! I can actually confidently leave my house now without makeup! Thank you Neutrogena!
