Confidence in a bottle
Just tried out Ralph's Club New York and let me be straight, this one actually surprised me. Opens with a hit of blackcurrant that feels fresh but not juvenile, then quickly levels into bourbon vanilla and sandalwood. Smooth. Addictive. Clean cut, but still has that edge. This isn't a "play it safe" cologne. It's fougère and ambery at the core, but that fruity note makes it stand out. I see it as a year-round wear, but it's going to kill in the colder months absolutely. The bottle? Full chrome, bold, reflective, very NYC energy. It looks like it belongs on a shelf, not hidden in a drawer. Bottom line: confidence in a spray. Not for blending in, definitely for standing out.

It opens with a burst of juicy blackcurrant accord—used for the first time in a men's fragrance—before giving way to a blend of creamy vanilla and warm sandalwood notes. The distinctive bottle is designed with a silver translucent finish inspired by a polished gentleman's flask and features a black rhombus "R" diamond monogram as an homage to the architectural heritage of its namesake city and Ralph Lauren's hometown.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Extremely impressed with this cologne. The smell is a creamy sweet but holds bold presence. It is also amazingly well behaved and not over powering. An amazing balance in scent profile. I cannot understate how valuable traits like these are for me in a cologne. The scent last reliably long into the day, usually up until a good a showering. The bottle is remarkably well designed. Quality glass with a metallic shine that mimics metal, but shows through when lit from behind. I will be using this product regularly in life from here on.
Beautiful Bottle Lackluster Scent
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] The only thing that truly stands out about this fragrance is the bottle. Otherwise, the scent uses a very cheap black currant note that smells like air freshener or Axe body spray. I really love the EDT version and had high hopes for this one especially since it represents my city. However, I was left disappointed. It does also have a sweet and creamy aspect to it, which helps, but I don't see myself wearing this one often.
