Swivel eyeliner up only 1/8-inch (pencil doesn't automatically retract, and too much exposure to air can dry it out.) Line eyes. Use smudging tool on opposite end to get desired effect. Allow color to set for 60 seconds to ensure transfer-resistance. Recap securely to protect from drying out.

Why does it seem like the eyeliner is empty so soon after you purchase? I can see others have been asking this question. This is my favorite, no-run eyeliner but if this runs out just as fast as the last (under 3 weeks!) I will have to ditch this. I use Clinique eyeliner daily. I usually purchase it at Clinique.com, but I was out and needed it asap. I knew Ulta carried it, so I ran in a bought two. The first time I opened it to use, the tip fell off.
