I got this to wear for my wedding, because I just needed to hurry up and buy something. I was ready to be disappointed, but I LOVE this trio. Every time I've tried eyeshadow on the past, it reads some degree of orange on my skin, and it just makes me look a little sick. And normally, I'd go for a shimmery light shade and matte for the darker shades. It turns out, this is exactly what I needed. What worked best for me was putting the pale shade on my lid, focused on the center, blending the middle shade all over my lid and into my crease, and using the darkest shade to define just on the outside edge of my crease, blending that toward my nose and toward my temple, and under the outer third of my lower lashes. It didn't make my eyes look smaller, which has been a concern (mostly due to application), and it stayed put throughout the evening that I tested it, which is also a new experience for me. I can say with confidence that this is the perfect eyeshadow to make me feel bridal but also for normal occasions as someone who doesn't currently wear makeup often.
