How long after opening is this mascara safe to use?

Any recommendations on how to get this mascara completely off with ease? i have to scrub it off with eye makeup remover, which usually takes off a few eyelashes. and even then, there's still a residue on my lashes.

To effectively remove your makeup we suggest trying out the Meltdown Remover. For best results, apply this on tough spots and wipe off with a tissue (a tissue works best since it will grab more of what you want to remove). This creamy gel is non-greasy so you don’t have to wash off any residue after you use it, and the light fragrance is uplifting but never obtrusive. Good but doesn't live up to Cannonball
I was devastated when UD discontinued the Cannonball Waterproof Mascara. It was the only mascara that didn't cause my lashes to fall flat and lengthened beautifully. A number of times people asked if I was wearing fakes (which for a girl with stumpy, flat lashes like me, that is a huge compliment)...

Gets the job done
I was in the market for a prestige waterproof mascara, and I chose this because I'm a big Urban Decay girlie. To be honest she's good, but not out of this world. She's not clumpy and doesn't smudge, but I would recommend her for people who want a more subtle look. I suppose you could build it up, but it would get spidery really quick. If you want something more dramatic then I would skip it.
Clumpy, dry
I typically use the regular Perversion mascara but it was out of stock so I decided to try the waterproof version. Not a fan. Dry and clumpy. Have to repeatly dip the wand to get any on it. Would not recommend or buy again.
