The best exfoliant in its price range!

I live in a very cold state where it's winter half of the year, along with being in a city where all of my apartment's water is hard. Recently, I had the flu too and kept having to wipe my nose. Between the inability to cleanse, the lack of moisture in the air, and the act of repeately rubbing my no...

Poor results

I will start off this review by saying I did overuse the product, and that led to some really bad results for me. But this 2 star review is based its poor performance BEFORE it wrecked my skin. This product has great reviews and I'm glad it works for so many people (esp given the price)!! But i hope...

No complaints, works as any other good exfoliating acid and for really cheap, helps to deal with flaking/shedding skin due to retinoids. No strong smell. Nice liquid/slightly gel like consistency.

Improvement

This product is really good, it makes my skin super soft the next day and makes any breakouts that I had decrease in size the next day. It does burn a little but i put on moisturizer right after and it seems to help. I would suggest starting off with a very small amount on your face to see how your skin reacts.

Im 37 yo and have had hormonal acne the last year. I gets a lot of blackheads and closed comedones on my chin, jawline and upper neck area. Ive been using this serum a little over a month now, i only use it 2x/week because I use a retinol serum on the other nights. This product is by no means a miracle product. The glycolic and lactic acids have helped the amount of big cystic pimples I get, however you can find those ingredients in many toners, and with a higher %. This serum has made no improvement on my blackheads, and I think it would be more effective for acne if it had a high percentage of salicylic acid- this doesnt even contain half a percent of salicylic acid so its practically non-existent in this formula. I think if your looking for something cheap, this is a good option for basic chemical exfoliation. However for active hormonal acne, I think this misses the mark.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Burns

This treatment is very strong and burns my sensitive skin. Also, it doesn't work for me (doesn't clear my acne); so, I won't be buying it again.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
