Because I'm protein-sensitive, I contacted Olaplex via their live chat to confirm that these versions did not contain protein. The representative confirmed they were protein-free and suitable for daily use, even on fine hair. However, my experience was extremely disappointing. The shampoo lathered well but left my hair feeling rough and coated as I rinsed. The conditioner provided temporary softness in the shower, but once I combed through my hair, it was tangled, difficult to manage, and I noticed some breakage. After air-drying, my hair felt dry, stiff, and looked dull — very unlike the "hydrating" or "bond-repairing" results I was expecting. Upon reviewing the ingredient lists, I discovered Hydrolyzed Quinoa, which is a protein, and Isopropyl Alcohol, a drying ingredient — both unsuitable for fine or protein-sensitive hair.
