I have 2a, thin wavy hair. I use oil when my hair is damp, and during the week to maintain frizz. Anywho, I've tried many different kinds of hair oils and this one was way too heavy. I didn't us that much either (maybe 1/2 a pump). I think this is better suited for someone with thicker hair, but not...

I love this product!... IDK what people are talking about regarding the scent. Scent preference is personal so, MY personal 2 cents is that the scent of this product is a non-factor. I don't even notice the smell unless I'm smelling it directly from the bottle. it does not interfere with any fragrance that I'm wearing nor do I smell it in my hair. That last one is a big thing for me and it's a deal-breaker with any product. I'm not saying that if someone was to smell your hair they couldn't smell it... what I'm saying is that I myself can't it in general. The product itself it's great!. I wasn't sure how I was going to use it at first but once I started I saw that it had multiple uses. For reference, I have 4a-4b textured hair that I do not. chemically straighten. I love to use this on my ends, especially when I am detangling my hair in sections. I also mist this on my hair while it's still damp when wearing a wash & go. It absorbs well and is not greasy- compared a regular oil such as jojoba or whatever. I my personaly would not recommend this product if your hair does not have some type of kink or coil, is on the thin side, or it's not at least considered 3b. For other hair textures, I would recommend only using it on the ends or mid shaft- definitely not the roots- or spraying it in your hands first and rubbing your hands your targeted areas. This product is great for roller sets as well.

not good for migraine patients!
This oil, has a scent that incites migraine for me. If you are a sensory migraine patient, this product is not for you. Will be returning.
Great if you can handle the smell
I'm bummed because this actually worked great on my 3b/3c curls! But the smell is so strong and perfumy that it gave me the worst headache all day! I tried it twice to see if it was a fluke and both times it was aweful. I have used Ouidad products most of my adult life snd never had this issue with any other product.
Good hair oil for fine hair.

The Mongongo hair oil comes and goes from my must haves. Because of a sale price, bought it again. I forgot how wonderful this hair oil is for fine hair. Best for me is to spray it into my hands and rub it into mid-length to ends. I keep it off of my roots. It makes a huge difference in my Einstein-like frizz without flattening my hair. And it adds shine!
