This curl butter smells like a high end salon product to me in a clean slightly floral scent. The scent lasts a few hours in my hair as well and I was complimented on how good it smelled. It has hold like a gel but does not get hard or crunchy whatsoever. It helped define my 2B waves and keep them from falling flat as I have long hair. I was impressed with the hold it provides while being soft and hydrating at the same time. I use a good amount and apply throughout my hair and then scrunch/twist a bit afterwards. It's basically a curl cream with gel hold power in one. I love being able to use less products in my hair as it can get weighed down easily.

This curl cream is not very thick at all but light and creamy. It smells so good but not overpowering. It moisturizes well but it did not create a lasting defined curl pattern. I will continue to use.

My curls are super picky so I didn't have high expectations. My teenage daughter who has kinkier curls decided to try this with me. At first I wasn't a fan. Straight out of the shower I applied it and my curls went crunchy quickly. A couple hours later my 3c curls loosened up a bit and felt softer, moisturized and more defined but still a bit crunchy and dry at the ends. I think next time I'll add some oil with it at the end to see if it helps. Unfortunately for my daughters 3c/4a hair it didn't moisturize or define her curls so I'm not sure if it's for all curl types like advertised or maybe just not all porosity levels.

I wear my hair natural and usually I like products that don't have a strong hold and provide nice curls. This product did that. My hair wasn't crunchy and the product gave me the look I wanted. Overall I'm happy with it and would purchase it.
