Perhaps my expectations for this product were unrealistic. I sprayed it on a brush which had been used to apply cream blush. I sprayed a substantial amount on the brush but it just sat on top and did not penetrate the oily texture of the cream blush. I ended up shampooing the brush instead and it in...

I don't understand the negative reviews
I never leave reviews on Ulta, but after seeing the bad reviews on this brush cleanser, I felt that I had to say something. I absolutely love this product. I tried different ones, but I keep coming back to this one. It doesn't have a bad smell (as some reviewers said), it cleans brushes really well, but of course you should properly deep clean your brushes every week, but if you use this cleanser after every use, the deep cleaning will be much easier. My only complaint is that they are almost always out of stock!

Before this product, I would say "I love all Clinique products". I have used a variety of Clinique products for well over a decade. This is the first product a think is horrible. It does not clean my liquid foundation off the foundation brush. To get the brush mostly clean, I need to use a lot of the product.

Good cleaner
I've use this to clean my brushes and sponges about once a month and am impressed. I spray and squeeze it into the brushes and sponges then run under water. You can see the make up pouring out. My sponges look new. Highly recommend.
