There are serious issues with the spring that allows you to open and close the iron to curl. It's like the spring gets too hot, softens, and ends up stuck and the iron won't close all the way to secure the hair. I use the tool the way it is intended. Nice
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This curling iron is really nice! Long barrel is perfect for my long hair. Curls held well. No smell when on, heats nicely. Only docking a star because it's going to take some getting used to. The material on the barrel makes me hair slip right through the clamp sometimes in the last little section, so I have to leave more of my ends out than I'm used to.

Heats Up Quickly
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] The Bio Ionic 1.5" Long Barrel Curling Iron goes from cold to 450° in under two minutes. I was super excited when I got the opportunity to try this curling iron. My hair is naturally wavy but tends to be super frizzy instead of wavy. It took a bit of trial and error for me to figure out how long to leave this curling iron on my hair to get even a small curl to stay in the ends of my hair. (Hint: I had to hold it in for about one and a half minutes.) This Bio Ionic 1.5" Long Barrel Curling Iron is fantastic for taming my frizzy hair and leaving my hair flat and straight, which I love. It does take a while for the curling iron to cool down, so I leave it sitting on a flat surface with nothing near it, not even my hairbrush. I would've loved to have received a storage bag with the curling iron, but it has a built-in loop on the cord where it meets the curling iron, so I can hang it up near my vanity. Speaking of cords… the Bio Ionic 1.5" Long Barrel Curling Iron has a 9-foot swivel cord which is great for maneuvering the curling iron around to reach all of my hair.

It heats up super fast within seconds, along with controls to set the perfect temp for your hair needs and can lock the temp into place so no accidently pushing the button while curling! Great quality of a hair tool!
