clumpy lashes, and flakes. just what i wanted
the wand and brush are great, but the product is so thick it clumps lashes together if you're not careful, and then it dries super fast and gets flakey if you mess with it too much. i've also noticed a slight burn when i first apply it. i even make sure not to take it all the way to the lashline because i have sensitive eyes.

No curl and no lift with this mascara. Volume yes, but not much more than that.
It's amazing BUT.....
This mascara is absolutely amazing, and makes me look like I am wearing fake lashes. However, it dries out SO fast. Without warning either!! One day it's good, the next day, it's just DONE. I wish I had a heads up so I could purchase more in time. Am I going to buy more? Yes. But I just feel like I am wasting money. I wish they would create a new formula or something. Sadly, the tiny samples seem to last longer than the regular size mascara. I wish I could buy a bunch of baby samples.
Great mascara!
I tried the Tarte Platinum Volumizing Mascara for the first time during the B1G1 free sale, and I'm glad I did. I usually buy Tarte Light, Camera, Lashes Mascara but decided to get one of each this time. Just when I thought my usual Tarte mascara couldn't get any better, the Platinum takes it up a couple notches...looks like falsies. Tarte mascara is good for staying put on lashes and not drying out in the tube.

I would compare this to Lancôme mascara. Great coverage that has great coverage.
