I like to file and shape my nails with a coarser file then smooth the edges with a finer one. This one is great for smoothing the edges. The green side is a fine grit that helps even out any bumps on the edges, and the yellow side is even finer and is great for smoothing the edge and taking away the "just filed" feeling. You can also use the yellow side to smooth bumps on the top of the nail, but it won't be smooth like a nail buffer. It's great when you chip a nail but don't feel like cutting it but also don't want the rest of it to peel. I've had this file for about 5 months now and I do my nails every 1-2 weeks. The file hasn't dulled at all. I haven't touched the other one yet (since it comes in a two-pack).
Nail file is great for fine smoothing the nail. Not rough enough to file out nicks or file down nail without cutting the nail.

I always start with the double sided blue file to take down bulk. Followed up with the softer, finer grit of this one my nails are perfectly shaped and smoothed with no bits or snags to be found.

They are softer and way less harsh on your nails rather than the sandpaper felling ones we got as kids or still get now

Have been using these for years and they work very well until they run out of grit. Nicely priced also.

I like the bright colors. This has light to medium abrasiveness.

I have very thin fingernails that break off easily. A lot of files make my nails split. This very fine nail file works great on my nails. It files my nails down but is not a harsh file. Will buy these again!

It is hard to find fine grit nail files (they are usually medium or course grit). One side is very fine and the other is just a little less fine. Perfect for my soft nails. I like the bright colors which makes finding them easy when I lay them down. The flowery logo is pretty.

I like these files, but would certainly like to know what grit I'm buying before I open them at home.

Have used these for my nails that are weak and prone to splitting. These have been perfect for my nails can now file then without breaking . I now have longer stronger nails! I bought seven of them just to be sure I have them for along time ,that's how much I love the emery board.

Great files, gentle on my weak nails. I use the green side to file the length and the yellow side to gently buff before gel application.

I have thick long nails. This file does the job I'm looking for. Not too coarse to tear my nails and soft enough to make sure my nails are smooth.

I love the fine grit on this nail file which leaves my nails feeling smooth. My nails easily break, chip, and/or peel. This file is more gentle when filing my nails. I will definitely repurchase this file. It's great!

I bought these in the store and have since been reordering online. I like these files a lot, they aren't perfect, you may need something more course, or more fine, but I keep them on my desk, in my bag, etc. for use in a pinch or if I just need a quick file. They do wear out pretty quickly, but they're also pretty cheap, so it isn't a big deal either.

So surprised and happy to find gentle nail files for my weak nails. Dry pleased I don't have to use hard files for filing

I've been looking for a nail file like this for so long. My old one was giving out and couldn't find the same nail file again. All the new ones at all the stores were so rough on my nails that they would break. But not with these ones. They're so gentle and precise.

Always in my nail kit. Green for initial file after trimming, yellow to do a smooth once over. Been using for years now, this one is my favorite texture.
