Nice temporary boost

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Hydro-gel patches are some of my favorites (especially in summer) because they feel instantly cooling and refreshing. I often put them in the fridge for a little extra chill! Because the skin under the eyes is so thin, it's extra sensitive t...o heat, allergies, sleep changes, diet, etc. My under-eye area gets puffy when I drink too much water, darkens when I don't drink enough, and gets itchy during allergy season. These patches do what they claim in terms of giving an instant tightening boost. The cooler temperature and inclusion of caffeine cause blood vessels to constrict, which reduces swelling and puffiness and also temporarily tightens the skin (which makes pores and fine lines appear less noticeable). I think the product claims of "collagen infusion" and visible tightening "after just one use" are misleading, though. The collagen present in the patches themselves is unlikely to stimulate collagen production in the skin itself, as these collagen molecules are likely too large to penetrate into the skin's deeper layers. And while fine lines or texture may appear less evident after one use, this is a temporary effect. That said, for an event or an evening out I am happy to have a little help reducing the look of dark circles and crow's feet. The combination of Niacinamide, Caffeine, and Hyaluronic Acid does a good job of brightening my eye area and calming the skin. The patches start milky white and change to clear when the "collagen infusion", which is fun to watch. This is supposed to take 1-2 hours depending on skin types, but I've found the moisture dries out in about 30 minutes and the patch then becomes harder to keep on unless lying down. I also didn't find that there was serum left after this time period to be patted into skin after removal of the patch (as the instructions suggest). I've tried them overnight to see if I could get more time out of a pair, but I have no idea how long they actually stayed on! The good news is that they had not stained my pillow at all when I discovered them there in the morning.
