Most Helpful Positive Review Hands down best powder foundation to exist! I was very shocked to say the least at how amazing the coverage is for this to be a powder foundation. I've always been pretty loyal to liquid foundation because the powder foundation never covered enough for me but this one changes the game up! Also, it set nicely on my skin and didn't feel cakey at all, very light and airy. I use the Pearl shade it it matches my skin tone perfectly. The fact that it's waterproof is a huge plus, especially with summertime pool days coming up. The coverage and mattifying effect is long lasting and keeps my face oil-free for hours and hours. I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves great coverage and matte effect.
Most Helpful Critical Review Not for mature skin I am conflicted on this one. It worked well, wore well, had wonderful coverage. But it showed off my wrinkles and dry patches like crazy.
I have combo skin, and it's more dry in the winter. So powder foundations are something I struggle with. I think this one would be wonderful for me in the summer, but it just wasn't working for me now.
No matter how I prepped, it always made my skin look dry and flaky. It settled in my lines and pores and made my dry spots worse. Even after exfoliating, moisturizing, using a hydrating primer and bb cream. Dry patches still stuck out badly.
Other than that, it was great. The coverage was amazing. It went on nicely and was buildable so I could build it up if I wanted more. It didn't feel heavy or drying (oddly since it made my skin look more dry). It lasted all day without fading or oxidizing. It matched my skin perfectly, the shade was just right.
I think this would work for me in the summer. I can wear something that's light when my skin is more oily and it won't feel heavy and sweat won't ruin it. But for now, it didn't work well.
It would be great for someone in their early 20s that still has young looking skin. It's great working foundation for someone younger. But someone with more mature or dryer skin. I don't think it will work.

ULTA does not offer a shade finder for this powder foundation on its website, so I did the best I could in selecting a shade and had it shipped to me. The shade was too light and when I tried applying it, it was very streaky and just sat on top of my skin. The liquid formula of this foundation is much better. This powder version was a major fail.
Chalky, Separates on skin 1
Alexa from New Jersey
Bought this in porcelain thinking it would be a better color match for me the l'oreal true match but the quality is not there. It was chalky and didn't set my concealer well. The l'oreal true match goes on much smoother and does a better job disguising pores. I think I'll be returning this.

This was okay. I definitely wouldn't pick this over liquid foundation if you have mature skin.

I absolutely love the look and feel of this powder. I've always used liquid foundation but this was a stunning change to my look. It delivered as promised with a 24 hour hold when I fell asleep with it on! I am thoroughly pleased!

Magic Powder 5
VegasVero from Las Vegas
Wow !!! I've used probably every single powder that's out there from high end to luxury and drugstore. This powder is some sort of magic dust that makes your skin look so airbrushed. I've also purchased a lighter shade to set the under eye area and brighten. I am in my 40s and there is no caking, does not accentuate lines, just smooths everything out very nicely. I'm going to be picking up back ups

I really wanted to like this product but unfortunately did not!!! I have really oily skin and maybe that played a role in my problem idk. I felt like every time I put it on it would just slide around. I did it without the foundation and it was not the best then I tried with there foundation and omg it just moved everywhere.

First off, I have to give props to the Ulta app for matching my skin tone to find my shade. I did the camera color match thing, and when I tell you I have never had a foundation match my skin color better, I am not lying! I think this is a really good foundation. Because it is a powder foundation, and I have dry skin, I really have to be careful of how much I apply in places with pores or lines. For example, around my nose can look pretty cakey if I do too much. That being said, if I am careful and don't go overboard, I can get pretty great coverage, and this works really well with my other face products (contour, blush, highlight, bronzer). When I pair it with a good setting spray, that really helps it melt into my skin. Wears great throughout the day, but I wouldn't say it's 24-hour.

Full coverage, light weight, settled well over lightweight IT foundation with Lancome setting spray.
I honestly didn't know this was a foundation. 2

So I've been using this as a setting powder and honestly it works well and I like it. It can look a little heavy sometimes so I won't buy it again, but one day I was doing my makeup as normal with my friend in the room and she tells me this is a foundation not a setting powder so I tried it as a foundation only and god was it awful. It transferred so easily and left my skin looking streaky. I would never use this as a foundation.
Full coverage and inexpensive! 5

Had trouble finding a undereye setting powder that worked with my skin tone and this does the trick!

I hated this when I first tried it - cakey, terrible, separated immediately on application. HOWEVER! It was me, not the powder!! I have oily, sensitive skin and after figuring out how to properly use this, it's become my favorite powder foundation. It looks seamless, natural (but buildable), lasts a long time, and wears beautifully - it goes from matte to a healthy satin/glowy through the day. Importantly, it doesn't sit on the skin. It melts in and looks genuinely textureless and natural. I prefer this over my high end liquid foundations/tinted moisturizers many days! I also like the mirror on the bottom.
Tips
1. DO NOT use over liquid makeup - if you want to use this as a high coverage setting powder… just don't. It separates and looks weird if you layer it on most liquid foundations I tried (but not all)
2. DO use a DENSE brush and buff gently in small circles over primed/moisturized face.
3. DO use multiple thin layers on application for more coverage. Avoid using too much around eyebrows/nose.
4. DO NOT use to touch up makeup. When it touches too much face oil, it can separate and look weird
5 DO NOT use the included puff or sponge, try a brush! The brush buffs into your pores and erases them, sponges/puffs smear over your pores and can make them look like craters (boo!)
6 DO use concealer OVER this, not under. Too many layers underneath this can make the powder go on cakey, it truly looks best buffed onto bare/primed/moisturized skin. Set under eyes very lightly or with a translucent powder instead!
It's not a finicky powder if you just use it the right way, it lasts all day and looks so natural. It has amazing coverage and makes me look smooth, no texture, perfect color. Most importantly, it doesn't break me out at all! Great powder foundation!

I tried this product a few different times. It appeared very dry on my skin and brought out every wrinkle on my face. I literally had to wash it off my face before I even left the bathroom. May work on ladies with flawless facial features but I'm at the beginning stages of mature skin and it was a huge fail for me. I will stick to my crème makeup, which is is wonderful for my skin. It also showed very dry patches on my face. I've given it enough chances to do as it says it does. Just not made for me

I got because kathleenlights recommended it and i trust everything she says and it did NOT disappoint. i literally recommend this to everyone, no matter what skin type you have. i use the love is the foundation brush and it blends so smoothly. it looks matte at first but i swear it looks even better throughout the day. i don't get any creases and i use this as a light coverage foundation and concealer for my undereyes and acne scares. if you have dry skin maybe use a moisturizing primer and a dewy setting spray and it will look STUNNING. every time i wear this i get compliments on my skin it just looks so smooth and flawless and not cakey at all.

I was just grabbing a powder foundation really quick since I ran out of my Fenty one and didn't feel like driving. I heard good things about this one so decided to give it a try. I kid you not this is my new holy grail product. No longer need all the liquid and loose powder and everything. This is an AMAZING product. Will be repurchasing definitely.

DO NOT waste your money on this, it's awful. it made my skin look dry and flakey, it's cheap, it's streaky it's just terrible. so disappointed in this, actually, it's beyond disappointing, I'm disgusted. I can't even give it away I'd feel embarrassed giving this trash to someone.

As someone with dry skin you would think that I would not love this powder foundation. This is definitely not the case for the L'Oreal Infallible Powder Matte Foundation. This foundation worked well on my skin, stayed for hours, and made me look flawless. It actually made me go out and purchase the liquid version as well!

Breakage 2
Shellpoling from Concord, Michigan
I really like this product for its application and coverage. The disappointing problem is that it broke apart in the container about two weeks after I began using it. I did not drop it or carry it in my purse. It was kept in my cosmetic drawer. I am curious to know if this is a common problem or if I purchased a faulty product. I would like to continue using it but won't purchase it again if this a recurring issue.
