outstanding This scent has an addictive waxy powdery iris vibe that I find irresistible but might not feel uber masculine to sone. But I think the leather punches it up at the end so its a little more masculine than unisex in the dry down in my opinion.
I fell in love the moment I smelled this fragrance and it helped kick start my fragrance journey. I had imagined cologne smelling a certain way and this blew away any preconceptions. For me its one of those scents that when I spray it on my hand, I cant stop smelling it. Its just a really well composed interesting and also mass appealing fragrance
The performance is okay but not stellar on my skin. It projects for a few inches for an hour or two and then becoming a really nice skin scent for a few hours. It has a subtle sillage which leaves a faint trail. I think with this type of scent you dont want to beast projection since I imagine that it could risk becoming cloying. For that reason I believe this works best for fall through spring season and perhaps not a great choice for really hot days. That said, I find it fairly versatile fragrance that you can pair with a nice suit or even jeans with a nice shirt or sweater. But might not go great with a tank top and shorts type outfits. It should however work as long as youre somewhat smartly dressed.
I cant say enough good things about this fragrance. I went from having one maybe two colognes at most to starting a fragrance journey in part due to smelling this scent. As a result I now also have Valentino Uomo Intense (which is more similar to Dior Homme Intense) which shares so of its DNA but are different enough. Uomo Intense is another amazing fragrance but has more gourmand elements so its different enough to make it. not redundant to own both
It's Nice but Average IMO For this voxbox I received a 10ml bottle of Dior Homme cologne complimentary of Influenster for testing purposes. I will say that right out of the box and packaging; I love the aesthetic of the bottle and how it is applied. This is so much easier to lightly dab rather than spritz (most other samples we get usually are in those little spritzer bottles). I feel like this is so much easier to control how much is applied. Looks very slick and smooth and just very modern yet minimalistic. One of my favorite bottles yet. The downside is that my cap on this sample doesn't seem to close all the way and is just slightly angled and off-centered. This is causing leaking issues if I throw it in my bag or happen to put it somewhere that it won't stand up vertically. Hoping that's not a quality issue on other bottles especially bigger full-sized ones. So, I've worn this for about a week now just so I can get a full range of how different environments and activities impact the smell. The smell I would say is average right from the bottle. It's certainly manly and musky. The scent type is supposed to be "Warm Woods" with key notes of Atlas Cedar, Haitian Vetiver, and Patchouli Heart. Smelling from the bottle, I don't get those notes or the warm woods scent. I have used several "woodsy" scents from other brands and this one I guess would have a hint, but I wouldn't quickly identify it that way. It does have a slight spicy earthy smell. That being said, after applying to my skin the cedar notes did become more pronounced. Everyone's skin reacts differently so you might get a different smell, but I did notice a stronger cedar smell, but it also did smell lighter. The musk isn't too strong (dab on both wrists, behind ears, and around neck) and seemed to last throughout a normal low-activity day. A little definitely went a long way and I felt like I didn't need to reapply at all. The dabs were enough to have me smelling nice, but yet not overpower and linger wherever I went. It also stayed strong during a medium-activity day (shopping, outside, moving around throughout day). I felt like the scent was a little less pronounced by the end of the day, but I could still smell it if I tried. However, on a high-activity day (out in the sun, sweating, workout, etc.,) I felt like the scent totally washed off with my sweat. My sweat does not really have a scent and is not noticeable at all, so it wasn't like other odors were masking it, but it felt like by the end of that day, I had no smell at all. That is also confirmed as after quick showers, the scent is entirely gone (I only bring this up because some scents stick to your skin like crazy and doesn't easily wash off), which can be both a good and bad thing. Good as you don't want to smell like the scent all day and need it to easily wash off, but if you're a sweater or wash up alot, you may need to reapply. Overall, my general thoughts about the product is that it's nice. It has a nice smell. It works well. It seems like it'll last. Nice bottle and packaging. However, there's nothing really special that sets it apart from other scents or brands. If someone came up to me and asked me to guess what scent/brand this is from, I would have no idea. I might even put it in a generic/drug store smelling cologne category. That's not a bad thing. As mentioned, it does have a nice smell, just nothing unique or distinguishing. It feels like something is missing but I can't put my finger on it. Maybe a little bit more spice? A tad bit more cedar? Make it just a bit warmer? Just something that I could say oh, that's definitely Dior. I would definitely continue to use the product. I would not go out of my way to find the product and replace my others and have this as my go-to. But, it's not bad to keep in a rotation. Perfect for those looking for a light musk.

I think a lot of "fragrance snobs" are going to hate this cologne because dior redesigned the homme line but now I think this is suited for the modern man. I have not met someone that does not like this scent. It's very versatile as well! The best way to describe it is a clean sharp fragrance. Imagine a young wall street clean cut person wearing this.
The safest from the Dior Homme line up 5

This is easily one of the best 'dumb reach' fragrances i've come across during my many years of collecting fragrances. It works in every occasion, casual, formal, date, office.. anything. You will just simply smell very good. It's missing the signature iris note associated with the Dior Homme line up but in it's places are dialed up citruses. While I love Iris some people find it unusual or lip sticky cosmetic smelling. I would say this is the safest from the Dior Homme line up. But I will also say as someone who owns all of the Dior Homme fragrances the best one by far is Dior Homme Parfum. Over all rating for this EDT a solid 10 due to the mass appeal.
