Been wearing for 4 months, here are my thoughts:

I was skeptical of buying cakes because I thought it was just another thing that people waste their money on and never end up using, I was wrong! I initially bought cakes because my boobs are so big and I hate wearing bras, i mostly wear sports bras they are more freeing and supportive, but then i h...ave a nipple problem… 😂 i'm also a nursing student with UGLY, white, see-through scrubs. No amount of layering will fix it. With cakes, I feel more confident knowing i'm wearing them. No more nipples popping through my shirt and scrub tops which i perceive as pretty embarrassing while i'm around medical staff and peers! So to combat the issue i ordered cakes, maybe they would surprise me… they did. For me, they are a CLINICAL must have! I do not feel okay if I don't wear them. Do I wear them on a daily basis? no. I probably wouldn't, i'll tell you why… After a long days wear, I have to peel them off softly. I have pretty sensitive skin thats why i stopped using nipple covers, because those rip the skin where the adhesive is applied to. I have a small scar on my boob from wearing those, but with cakes I don't have this issue. HOWEVER, I have experienced something different with cakes but it is manageable. Sometimes with cakes, after pulling them off after a long day like at clinical, the sweat and some friction will cause these semi painful lines, but they go away the next day. I just recommend buying some antiseptic handwash like dial and washing the cakes with those and using a paper towel to pat dry. I recommend that to reduce infection. I wash them after every use. But this is why I wont wear them everyday. But I dont need to wear them everyday, I wear them in certain situations, usually i don't care if my nipples pop out, but when i need them confined i turn to cakes. Theres no way anyone would know im even wearing them, which is why i love them, they have big enough ones to fit my boobs, and that makes find a solution to wearing annoying bras so amazing. They aren't sticky at all either which I love, I don't even notice i'm wearing them half the time, but after a long days wear they will mend to your breasts a little bit, which is why i think.. to maintain skin integrity, use the antiseptic soap to get it off or warm water. Maybe even a non scented lotion. To make peeling it off more comfortable. Now, I think the irritation I experienced with cakes was due to the size of my breasts. Having bigger boobs, means more pressure. That's why I think it was easier to get those tiny friction lines. It could be different for others with different sizes. though. I always say becareful when you peel cakes off your boobs, or anything in general! don't rip them off ever. The skin tissue around your breast is rather thin so remember that when taking them off. So with that being said, I love cakes. They helped me find a solution to a struggle I have had for a LONG time. I wear them when I need them, peel off with care, wash them after every use with antiseptic soap, and let your boobs rest a day before applying them if your getting friction lines.
