Apply serum AM & PM on clean skin. If you experience brief tingling or minor sloughing, don't be concerned - this is normal:
- Origins 5% Retexturizing Complex gently resurfaces skin and gives cell turnover a jumpstart. As the product activates on skin, you may experience minor sloughing upon application; superficial dead skin cells are combining with the product and being lifted off to unveil smoother, brighter skin.
- To minimize sloughing, gently pat (don't rub) serum into skin.
- Wait until skin is dry and serum is fully absorbed before applying moisturizer; if sloughing does occur, simply sweep away with fingertips.
- If irritation occurs, limit frequency of use and if it persists, discontinue use and consult a physician.
- Avoid eye area.
- Use sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using and the week after.

- Q
Can you use this with niacinamide?
- Asked by LL
- Official Answer By Origins US ENGreat question! Origins GinZing Into The Glow Brightening Serum is the perfect partner serum to Origins Energizing Gel Cream with Caffeine and Niacinamide, as the two products work to improve dull-looking skin while the moisturizer helps improve the skin's natural barrier. Please check with your doctor when using a prescription Niacinamide product as they are the best to advise using products with prescribed medication. We have also included the ingredient list below for GinZing Into the Glow Brightening Serum for your reference. - Q
Can this be used with other serums? My skin is more on the "mature" side, and I have been using another serum that I like.
- Asked by Leanne
- Official Answer By Origins US ENA great question! While we recommend using this serum alone for best results, you may alternate Origins GinZing Into the Glow Brightening Serum with your other favorite serum. Simply apply one serum in the morning and the other serum in the evening, instead of layering your serums, and always follow with your favorite moisturizer. Was this answer helpful to you

Glowy Skin
When I first started using this, I was skeptical about the brightening effects because I've tried ones in the past and don't notice a difference. To note, my skin is on the oily side so it tends to get really dull easily, so I am definitely trying to look for something that isn't heavy and can make ...

Big Disappointment
I wanted to try something new to see if there is something better than what I already use. Origin was my go to brand for a lot of skin care items since early 2000s. I don't know what has happened, but a lot of the great products were either discontinued or changed in formula. Some of the newer produ...

Poor Substitute for Discontinued Products
Verified Reviewer

The only reason I purchased this moisturizer is because Origins discontinued the product that I had been using for years (Dr. Andrew Weil's Mega Bright Dark Spot Correcting Serum). This product is a very poor substitute for what they've decided to take away from me. I gave this lotion three chances. I was only able to actually keep it on my face once, since the second two times it stung my face so much that I had to wipe it off and use something else. The first time I used it, I was seriously unimpressed. It's more watery and less luxurious than the Mega Bright. It did not make my skin feel soft or hydrated. Instead, my skin felt papery and dull. Where is this "glow" that I was promised? Not to be found in this bottle. If Origins doesn't bring back the Mega Bright, I will find a new skincare company.
Skin is glowing and clear
I've used this for about 3 months and my acne-prone super sensitive skin has brightened and cleared up so much! Ran out about 2 weeks ago and I can already see how dry and bumpy my skin is starting to look. Just purchased another bottle. I'll make sure to never run out again.
Phenomenal!
Age 30-44
Skin Type Combination
This serum is going to be a staple in my daily skincare routine. My skin is so happy since I've been using this serum and with maturing skin, it's perfection!
Nothing spectacular, not worth the $
Age 18-29
Skin Type Normal
Purchased for the reviews, packaging, and because this product claimed to smooth the skin. Unfortunately, this product made my pores look bigger and my skin feel less tight, issues that I've never dealt with before while using other products. Anything this serum claims to do can be achieved with lower-cost products. I will keep using it since I've already wasted the money, but I wouldn't purchase it again. I use it alongside the Origins cleanser, which I could also do without.
Love this serum!

I love this serum. The smell is light, and it fades quickly. It gives a nice, elementary hydration and also makes my daytime moisturizer work even better. I use one pump on days that I shower and 2 pumps on days that I don't.
