ONYX Professional  Get Polished Foaming Body Scrub

I ordered this in the coconut and vanilla scent. Smells absolutely wonderful without being cloying or smelling sickeningly fake. Sadly the scent doesn't last on skin once the scrub is rinsed off. (ONYX really needs to make scent matching body wash and lotion.) It does a surprisingly great job at hydrating your skin. The emollients also help the product spread very easily over skin. The shea butter and apricot oil remain on skin even if you use a body wash after using this scrub. Using only the scrub doesn't really feel like it gets me clean. The pics and name make it seem like this scrub foams/lathers but my jar never has. Tried with and without the included scrubber pad, using varying amounts of water, and with different water supplies (home, friend's home, hotel) but there's never once been any foam. I think the formula is so hydrating that it makes it nearly impossible for foam to happen. I personally am very happy to skip the foam action in exhange for how soft this makes my skin. The exfoliating aspect might be disappointing if you're looking for a product to help deal with skin issues like KP, strawberry legs, calluses, or if you simply want a really thorough exfoliation. On a 1-to-10 scale, I'd give this a five. It's a gentle scrub to provide maintenance between rougher weekly exfoliation. Think of it like a 'use every shower' kind of scrub rather than a scrub you'd use once a week to really abrade off every last smidgen of dry, dead skin. It won't work for prepping for self tanning, but it's gentle enough that it shouldn't strip your self tan, either. The sugar crystals are small and dissolve quickly, so stand out of the way of the shower spray when using or else the sugar melts before you get a chance to scrub. This is a decent value for the price - 16 ounces of product, a silicone scrubber (small and better suited for the face), a container that tightly closes so nothing leaks, and compared to scrubs from Tree Hut, Daise, Hemp, Bliss, etc., I need half as much of this scrub as I do of those thanks to how easily this scrub applies. Overall, this isn't a bad scrub. It wasn't as exfoliating as I'd like but it more than made up for that by leaving my skin feeling like I'd already put on lotion. When I use this my skin is NEVER dry, tight, or itchy after showering. It's soft and smooth. I have horribly dry skin thanks to psoriasis and Hashimoto's thyroid disease and I burn through ridiculous amounts of skincare products not only trying to find ones that work, but in the general daily use of the products that do work. This scrub will be a repeat purchase just because of how dang soft it leaves my skin.
