The kit is a great idea in theory
Kit included foils with cotton squares attached so when adding the acetone made it a wet mess. The foil was then hard to wrap. It would be better to get acetone, cotton balls and foil.

Works great!
My nail gal wasn't able to get me in for a removal and my gels were a little over 2 weeks old and starting to annoy me. I wandered into Ulta and found this kit. It worked great. I don't know if this helped or not but I have plastic clips I use over my nails to hold the foil and remover in place. It took 10 min for most of my nails and I had to keep it on another couple min for a few, just like at the salon.
Not worth it
-The buffing block is poor quality and does a horrible job of removing the shiny coat -The aluminum foil pieces are great in theory but do not stay on the finger -I had on the cotton soaked aluminum pads on for 30 minutes and still required use of the orange sticks to push off gel on every finger. The acetone only lightly softened the gel polish (unclear if this is due to poor quality or poor contact given the poorly fitting aluminum foil). The end result was partial removal with remnants. Additional soaking for another 30 minutes did not help -frustrating product I do not recommend

This box is so east to use and the polish comes right off. Just soak the pad, not dripping wet. fold the foil over the nail and wait exactly 15 minutes. Take the stick and use the slanted end and push the color off and buff. Wallah!!!
It works but it is time-consuming
This kit works so I will rate it at 5 stars. However, it takes time and effort to remove the gel. Used it to remove gel from a pedicure. I had to leave the foils on for at least 20-30 minutes because the recommended 10-15 minutes wasn't long enough. Then I had to keep reapplying the remover and using the stick to get the last parts of gel off and then buff the nails down. Took me a little over an hour to remove all of the gel. This is a good alternative if you don't feel like going to nail salon to get gel removed but just be aware, it's not a quick removal process, at least it wasn't for me.
Worked
This product worked well for me but you have to do some prep work. I first buffed off that top shiny layer then applied the soaked foil. I did one hand at a time and even applied a warm towel on top of the foil to speed up the process.
