Most Helpful Positive Review The polish is great, but beware user error
The first few times I used this polish, I was convinced it was bad, but I loved the color so much that I kept trying it. When I did figure out how to do gel nails properly (turns out it's not the same method as regular polish), I found this stuff to last a LOT longer. Funny enough, I get far more compliments from men than women, and I already get a lot of random compliments from women! When the one I usually use, Paparazzi Shots, was out of stock, I got some Gelish in a similar glittery shade, but it didn't stay on as long and lacked the dynamic depth I got from Paparazzi Shots. And when I want it to come off (Structure base coat, two coats of color, and the Brilliance top coat), I find it very easy to remove if I can get an edge to loosen. The whole thing will peel off at that point. And no, I'm not finding my nails to be too thin to be usable, even after several months. I do wish they had more colors for glitter, but won't complain as long as they keep my red glittery stuff around. It's practically become my signature nail color. :)
Most Helpful Critical Review New Formulation 😒
I received 4 bottles of Red Carpet Fortify and Protect LED polish as a gift, one pink, and three different shades of gray. I have been using them with the Red Carpet LED light, Structure, and Brilliance, in addition to the prep products. First, the pigments in all the polishes are not staying together, you can see white swirls in the bottle even after significant shaking, so much so that you have to continually shake after painting every other nail or so. Secondly, the pink polish has faded on my nails after not even a week. Strangely, the color did not fade on nails having an acrylic overlay, even though the same prep process was followed, both with and without the overlay. The pink also did not cover well, I had to put on double the coats and the final finish was not as smooth as usual. I noticed the packaging changed and now I see the polish has as well, may want to reconsider this formulation. The new bottles look nice, but I would rather have less aesthetically pleasing packaging with a quality product that works.

Pretty color, however it came gumpy...
Going to have to exchange it at the local Ulta...
I would buy more colors!

I'll be honest, I was hesitant after reading reviews but after using I am already looking at more colors. Easy for an at home gel polish application. I waited to write a review, my polish has been on a full week and I have not had any peeling or anything. Still looks great, only thing is the mail growth, but you'll have that with any brand! Looks great, I'll for sure be buying other colors!
several shades lighter than it looks from the outside

I use this with my led Red Carpet nail dryer. It works great.
Yes, I will order more

I use this product with my led Red Carpet nail dryer. It is a nice shade of red.

Not ALL colors are bad. I've ordered multiple different bottles and some colors are WAY OFF and others look beautiful. Some can be very thin and others only need 2-3 coats. Good Luck...
Don't even do it

I've just several gel polishes and this one is the worst. It doesn't cure correctly. I used two different brands on my nails and this one came out very differently than the other brand.
People don't follow directions

I was so unsure weather this was going to work or not because of all the bad reviews. 1. This is for use with a LED/UV lamp, if you don't cure it, it won't work it's not regular polish. 2. There is a sticky /tacky layer on top that you wipe off at the end after you cure it. It doesn't dry without having that stickiness, you wipe that off at the end that's how gel is. Going on a week with no chipping or peeling! It's so shiny and new looking still!

Polish is too thin and cures unevenly. Even with 3 layers the color is uneven.
Color not same as outside of bottle
TLK from OH
I like this brand but the color is not a fluorescent coral which is how I would describe the outside of the bottle. This is a bright pink which I already had in another brand. I would not have bought another of the same color.
Be cautious picking colors
Connie from Parma, Ohio
I was disappointed with the color. The bottle was a very pretty pale blue, but the color was actually pink.
This is THE BEST LED polish there is !!!

For gals who say the polish doesn't dry... are you using the topcoat? The polish is designed to STAY sticky between coats so each layer sticks to the previous. You must use a top coat to get the final hard, glossy top. I love this polish!
Their color comes right off after applying the top coat. 😡
Cari from New Jersey UltaStore
Tried to apply top coat. Remained sticky. Purify took the whole thing off. So frustrating. Tried it several times. Same failure and a mess.

First of all what?! Like I cured these four times with no dry down. Yes used a led light. Such trash
Bad from Deerfield
I bought this because it said it's a LED gel nail polish but it would not cure under my lamp no matter what. So now I have a nail polish I can't use. I bought two different colors and both don't cure.

I have a machine that dries this type of gel.
I would not buy this again
Shan from Georgia
It was a horrible orangish color, nothing like the color on the outside of the bottle
Love this gel system

I repaint my nails with this system once a week.

This products does what it says it does. However, you must follow directions for best results. Prepping the nail properly first is key. Also using an LED with proper wattage is key. Using cuticle oil multiple times a week will help with longevity. I'm going on 15 days and my nails still look great!.
I absolutely love it
Oney from Haledon Nj
This nail polish was absolutely beautiful color and and stood for about a week and half …
Bad does not adhere
LipstickJunkie04 from Grapevine, TX
I consider myself a nail polish Connoisseur and this polish is the worst! It goes on splotchy, peels off easily and is not true to color. Do not waste your money
Ultamom from San Jose
The polish is translucent, even after 5 coats- the whites of my nails were completely showing.
Also, the paint recedes inward if you don't put it under the LED immediately.
I tried two different colors because I thought MAYBE I got a bad bottle the first time. But no.
Would not recommend unfortunately.
Nope wish I could return it..
Jenn from Bastrop, Tx
The gel polish lifts and just peels off… Not like the gel at nail salons…
Color is not accurate
Meggylynn08 from Idaho
I haven't had any issues with chipping, thus far, and was happy with how it applied, but the color is definitely not what I expected. I should have read the reviews first. "Suave in Mauve" is more like a peachy/nude color. Not your typical mauve.
Coverage and Bright
AM1798 from Wisconsin
I used this gel polish with a base coat, 3 coats of polish, and a top coat. When applied correctly and with the use of a gel manicure light my nails looked great! I love this sunny summer color.
Megan P from New Jersey
I never expected to be able to do my own gel manicures at home. I decided to give it a try anyway, but had really low expectations for myself as I'm not usually good at this sort of thing, but really wanted a way to do gel manicures at home. Let's just say, I blew my own expectations out of the water! After carefully following the steps in the provided instructions, I was able to get a gorgeous mani. It did take a little practice, but I was able to get a beautiful mani that lasted 3 weeks! I'm off to buy several more colors.
