Q
Does this product work as a detangler as well?
Asked by Heather
Official Answer By Redken - BE
Hi there, while Redken's Extreme Anti-Snap is primarily designed to strengthen and fortify damaged hair, reducing breakage and split ends, its conditioning properties can also provide some detangling benefits. It helps smooth the hair cuticle, which can ease the separation of strands and make combing easier. However, for significant tangles or highly textured hair, a dedicated detangler designed specifically for that purpose may provide more effective results. Was this answer helpful to you

Protects Hair from Breakage

I have medium thick hair which is colored and highlighted. It tends to be straight but easily holds a wave if I braid it or twist it in a bun. My hair was coming out in clumps. I was finding handfuls of hair in my hand after combing. Since Using this product my hair loss is greatly reduced. If ...

Smells terrible

Submitted 1 year ago

By Lauren

From VA

Hair Type Very Curly Hair

I bought this because I usually love the Redkin length line and thought it would be nice to have a spray to reset my hair in the AM and this smells TERRIBLE. Smells like moldy berries…that's the only way I know how to describe it. Very odd scent. Could not use due to this. Seems to have a nice texture though.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Use protein dense hair care SPARINGLY!

The redken extreme line is amazing. It heals damaged hair from heat and bleach. HOWEVER, too much of anything is bad. You have to alternate bond building products (such as this) with hydrating products. You CAN over load your hair with protein and cause it to be damaged in a whole new way. Use this until your hair is strong, then back off of it. Im on maintance with this now. I spray this in ONCE a week from midshaft to ends of the hair, and 3 times a week I'm using Purology 21 leave in conditioner. :)

My hair loves it

I've been using this product for years and my hair loves it. I was surprised with the package change but i prefer the spray to the pump. My hair is kinky curly and bleached; this leave in provides the added strength my hair needs and keeps it from breaking off.
