Tanologist Extra Dark Self Tan Drops

first off, i wanted to mention i barely write reviews. even if the product is just A-Okay. but THIS stuff???? holy mother of grail.... i will say the first time i tried this stuff, i was surprised by the color. i've never been so dark. i've tried countless of self tanners, even loving tan- which i've found to be the darkest. when trying it out, i was a little disappointed with how streaky it was. mostly on my legs. but after experimenting with it a little more, u have to REALLY mix it well. when adding in the lotion, u have to mix it with ur hands really well for at least 15 seconds. i don't get dark easily so i have to use quite an amount of drops. i mix 3 drops with lotion for my upper body, and 4 drops for my lower. for the most part i use this in conjunction to my self tanning mousse (bondi sans ultra dark) the mousses never last for me. id say after day 3, i start losing color. day 6 i get super patchy. so my method is: apply 6 hour self tanner- the following morning when rinsing it off, i mix these drops with lotion. i prefer a thicker lotion so it mixes better and more evenly. these drops will help me *seal* my self tanner from the night before. and it makes it an extra 2 shades darker. it makes my self tanner last SO much longer. and even when it starts fading, i'll touch it up with these drops again to extend it a little longer if i'm too lazy or don't have time for my usual self tanner. i do not recommend using these drops everyday tho! maybe every 2 days or so, minimum. the only downside... i feel this is with any kind of tanner- is it destroys ur hands lol my hands will be super blotchy and streaky, mostly in between my fingers. i've tried using latex gloves, hand mitts, etc. but i feel i'm wasting the product bc i'd have to use more and it doesn't distribute well. so i just sacrifice my hands haha. sometimes my feet too, it's mostly the big toe that i will have the biggest blotch in the center. this stuff will develop QUICK in between ur fingers. so u have to immediately scrub the heck outta it when ur done applying it. i really recommend this product especially someone that's highly experienced with self tanners in general. it DOES have that orange tint. but most self tanners do. and i'd rather look tiny bit orange than my normal pasty color lol 10/10 for me. just hate how its highly priced for the amount u get. hope this helped anyone!

Returning items purchased nothing appeared after an hour of application

The color was too orange for my skin tone. I am pretty pale and the color looked too orange when applied alone with no moisturizer. This may be a better color for other skin tones but not for pale skin. It was dark when using alone.

I love these drops but unfortunately doesnt last long. Wish it lasted more than 2 weeks but the bottle isnt big.

Application was fine. I added 12 dros to 1/2 tsp of my usual Cereve body cream. My color would have been more even if I had mixed enough for my whole body at once byt I did one part at a time. Color is not streaky and I can't tell if it's splotchy or not because prockles began about 15 minuets after application and increasingly turned into burning pain. I took several benadry and finally passed out about 3 am. This morning I can see some color but it's mostly red from my very painful skin. You should definitely use protective gloves to apply this because even though I lotioned my hand well before and washed with soap very well after, my palms are very orange. The only ingredient I identified that Could gave caused this is fir as I am able to use st tropez without difficulty.
