This refill fits into your existing Double Wear Matte Powder Foundation compact.
To insert refill: Remove used powder by lifting blue base to get underneath. Press base of powder with both thumbs until it pops out. Insert new refill. Snap into place.

I've been wearing 1N2 Ecru Double Wear foundation for years. This powder is way lighter in color, making me almost a ghost. However, as the day has worn on, this afternoon it has turned darker and has given me more color. Perhaps it's the tint others have complained of, of being orange. I don't see it as orange-tinted but it definitely turned darker. In this case, it's a good thing I guess. I also did not receive the two sided applicator as stated and I checked everywhere for it as I had also ordered lipstick and received the freebies that came with my order. I used a makeup brush which was okay but I guess I need to go get a washable sponge so that I can press it on instead of brushing it on. It took quite a bit of brushing on as I was being careful to not over-do it. I'm 74 so I have my share of wrinkles and the larger pores that come with aging. I will give it credit that it doesn't seem to emphasize the wrinkles or settle into them much and it does seem to help mitigate the pores. However, using a light touch with the Double Wear foundation and a light puffing of my pearl powders on top achieves the same result. I do like having a light, easy way to put some color on my face and cover some of the marks of uneven coloration of my skin, especially if I'm not going out for the day but still want to look presentable when I walk my dog in the morning. I'm not sure that this will be the answer and I will likely try some other brands once I run out of this although I will go to the counter to figure out colors and see what the coverage might be. I do hope that they don't change the formula for their foundation. It's perfect as it is.

Reading these other reviews about how the color is different than before is the same thing I am experiencing! It applies differently as well, chalky almost. My usual color is way too light for my face now, and I've been using this powder for more than a decade! Now I have to find a new makeup brand

The new formula change is an absolute disaster. Estee lauder loyal customers are highly disappointed. I have ordered two products and the colors are vastly different than what I currenlty have. Organe and terrible. Why would EL reformulate all of the colors and not warn anyone. I tried using the online chat earlier and the person just told me to try the next shade down. That's not an answer of satisfaction. IF you are going to change the colors at least create a color chart of comparsion from the old color to the new colors so we can figure out what to buy. Highly disappointed!!!

I'm so angry that they changed their shades! I have been using pure beige for YEARS and ordered my shade as usual only to apply it and it be 3 shades too dark. I'm so disappointed and will most likely find a new brand to use
Beautiful Matte Coverage without Cake
I apply with a foundation brush to prevent cabinets. Its great for a light dusting over foundation or to touch up and mattify your current look.
