To cover rosacea and scarring I've used L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte in Shell Beige 102, and Lancome Dual Finish Foundation Powder in 220 Buff II (Cool). They're no longer providing enough coverage. Is the Estee Lauder Double Wear Max Cover Camouflage foundation more opaque than those two and, if so, which shade would be the closest match to the ones I listed. Thank you.

Is this waterproof on its own, and if not, would it be waterproof if I used setting powder? Also would it smudge or transfer? And could I put sunscreen over it?

- Official Answer By Estee Lauder USThank you for your question. Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover Camouflage Foundation for Face and Body SPF15 is water-proof on it's own. The coverage is full and there is no need to set this Foundation with a Powder. If you like to apply Powder, a loose formula like Estee Lauder Sheer Flattery Loose Powder, would be best. The Foundation is longwearing but not transfer-resistant. If you want to add additional sunscreen, we recommend applying the sunscreen under the Foundation rather than over it.Was this answer helpful to you

It is not a transfer-resistant formula, however. I don't often wear foundation, so my experience is poor. Lately I bought 3 different kinds of foundation and this one was the worst. It made my pores look sooo big! And my skin look harsh, like stone. I'm 45 and after wearing that, I looked 55-60. And ...I paid a lot of money to accieve that. Surprisingly the brand, that had the most exciting results, was the cheapest of all! I do like other Estée Lauder products though, especially the eye shadows.

Great coverage, usually wear 3N2 in Double Wear make up. This shade was not available in max coverage camouflage so I purchased 3N1 as it appeared closer (image) to my foundation color. After application was much lighter than pictured...worse when I apply it. Should have gone one shade darker. :( Either way did provide great coverage!
