How To Use

Start with a hair section that is 2 inches (5 cm) wide and no more than a half inch (1.25 cm) thick. Open the iron and place a hair section between the two hot plates, close to the scalp. Trap hair between the plates by firmly squeezing the handles together. While maintaining the tension, slowly pull the iron down along the hair section toward the end. At the end of hair section, release the pressure on the handle and allow the hair to slide out. Repeat process on additional sections of hair until you achieve the hair style you desire. It may be necessary to repeat process on certain areas, depending on the texture of your hair. Some experience is necessary when learning to use this flat iron. After using the iron several times, you will learn the ideal way to straighten and style your hair easily.

Caution

Having used a flat iron for years and Conair products, I was very disappointed. If you don't hold the handle towards the very back, it gets extremely hot and will burn your fingers.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Multiple passes needed

It takes multiple passes for the hair to be straight. I have wavy/curly hair to waist and it took half hr maybe more to get it all done. Was not even using large sections of hair each time. Would not recommend. It does make hair shiny but the heat is not hot enough and takes longer than my old straightener

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Wouldn't straighten my hair

I straightened my hair for probably 30 minutes and it continued to be wavy, then the next day I thought I would try again on my somewhat straighter hair from the day before and it straightened my hair but fell out minutes later.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
